Miranda's resurrection of Shepard was just business at the time. She had a job to do, and she did it. Heroism had nothing to do with it.

Shepard's defense of Tali was heroism.

It's not about "impact." Politicians make "impacts" all the time. That doesn't mean we love them.

Yeah, overcoming one of the universal facets of life is no big deal, right?

What's this?

All I remember was turning her father's war crime-ing ways in, not giving her a hug and laughing all the way back to the Normandy.

And Shepard helping Miranda come out of her shell wasn't heroic? Was that not beautiful?

She had been abused and distanced from the world. He helped bring her over.

That's a pretty big thing to do for someone.

You've never truly lived until you've improved someone elses life in a way in which they can never repay you.

That's almost as deep as the Mass Effect 3 endings, Taboo.

Very, very well said.

I think Shepard made a much more drastic improvement to Jack's life than Miranda's.

And you know...I'm not saying Miranda didn't have a hard childhood. But she chose her path. She chose Cerberus. She chose to distance herself from most people. And she almost certainly chose to do some ugly things on behalf of them.

Just like how Jack chose to become a notorious galactic criminal. Jack has done ugly things too (arguably uglier), and her reasons don't extend farther than boredom.

Yes she did. And Jack's responsible for that.

And Miranda is responsible for her own actions. What was the point of you even bringing that up? Did you just want to see the words you typed?

You've missed a detail so important it makes me wonder...

The 'point' is that people don't get a free pass because they've had a tough time. They still have a choice.

The only person mentioning anything about a "free pass" of any sort is you. Literally, only you.

I'm not even sure if it's arguable. Anyone remember this?

In any case, Miranda is hardly the only crewmember to be distanced from the world. Pretty much all of them are. Not much family, few or no friends. Which is probably pretty realistic, to be honest.

Hard to be mirimancer this days..I saw a poll on one of our russian fan forums about ME3 LI. So results were (from 145 respondents) as follows:
Liara -46 %, Tali - 23%, Garrus - 19%, Ash - 17%, Miranda -9%(i ignore the rest). I was shocked by the number. This results shows what Bioware did with character.

Not just a Mirimancer either. Rather, a fan of anyone who isn't Liara, the VS, or a Dextro.

And therefore Shepard helping her...'warm up,' I suppose, isn't exceptional in comparison to what s/he does for the rest of the crew.
