I've also always questioned where Mordin got his Seeker Swarm Bug in ME2. I also wonder...Who the hell is driving the shuttle in ME2? Because....Jacob and Miranda are both interrogating Shepard at the beginning. Who's flying it? You also have this same issues through out the game.
Otto the Autopilot
The latter was never in question for me. In fact, she is still competent and independent in ME3, only her motivations are derailed. I put that down to temporary insanity ("I can't think straight until Ori is safe") and an unwillingness to tell Shepard about the other things she's doing (she is doing other things offscreen because I say so) because she's still not completely sure of him until Sanctuary. Nothing can retcon her absence on Cronos Station, but the Datapad messages (which I can't get but I know they're there) and the e-mail do a lot to restore her.jtav wrote...
I'm working my way through ME2 and it's terribly melancholy. The fish are swimming, my model ship collection is growing, Miranda is speaking with Ori--and every mission brings me closer to Miranda's derailment and Shep's death. I need a pick-me-up. Convince me that the lady's worth it. Please.

Grr....I just noticed that Garrus and Liara get seven times as many Datapad messages as Miranda. I don't believe this.

Most of them are minor, but a couple of the major ones are this: Shepard and the ENTIRE squad leaving the Normandy, letting the crew get abducted. Easily the most transparent plot device in the entire series. Also, having Miranda have little-to-no involvement in the Cerberus subplot in ME3 was a tragically missed opportunity, but it's also one that could easily be mentally retconned into a "behind-the-scenes" kind of deal.David7204 wrote...
Hmm. What kind of areas are you talking about? I might be able to help.
Also Kai Leng, but he's harder to ignore. Badass character design and also responsible for the best Renegade interrupt ever, but damn was he a two-dimensional character.

Pretty sure she's feeling melancholy about ME3 approaching, so not helping there.lillitheris wrote...
@jtav: Try playing a Liara romance without LotSB. That’ll make everything shine.

Quality more important than quantity. And actually the most enjoyable message for me was the shortest, it was just "Good luck". Short, to the point, not wasting time with any waffle, but sincere, I can imagine Miranda writing that.
(I don't have datapad, but I imagine this is sent just before Priority:Earth).

the best renegade interrupt is the neck-snap during miranda's LM in ME2. Kai leng's death was undermined by all the previous conveniently-missed chances during ME3.
Edit: and wow did this thread go downhill, some of you should ashamed of the way you treat people with dissenting opinions.

If we keep on the topic of Miranda, there's no reason to bring it up. <_<

I just know how quickly some of these forums can move and want to give people an opportunity to catch it if they miss it the first, second or third time. Plus, I think the more hits we get, the better chance we have of something coming from it.

I know what the right thing is. The personal price just sucks. So I'm empathizing a bit too strongly with Shep and dreading the sacrifice.
