Speaking only for myself, the fact that the geth survive is not the only reason I choose Synthesis. The preservation of and cooperation with the Reapers that enable unimaginable technological advancements as well as a change to the people of the galaxy not limited by finances and resources are also selling points.Taboo-XX wrote...

I know what the right thing is. The personal price just sucks. So I'm empathizing a bit too strongly with Shep and dreading the sacrifice.
Meta-game the **** out the playthrough.
Sell Legion
Don't do the Geth Consensus Misison
It looks like the Geth VI is betraying you. It lies to you. Shepard has no reason to believe anything it says.
Even Tali states that it betrayed you.
This isn't jazz hands worthy but if you want to do some SERIOUS meta-gaming for a new perspective try this method.
Seeing as you like roleplaying so much why not give it a try?

certain grey morality to the Cerberus of ME3 when Kelly questioned
whether Shepard&Co had done the right thing when they resigned.
I was so dissapointed to see it removed.

I like her too. I also think she's the nice person who has a gruesome and anonymous death for the sake of having the nice person with a gruesome and anonymous death.
She is murdered horrifically and painfully after being tortured and her body is thrown into a compaction blender and the liquefied remains are ejected into space. Her head is completely obliterated when the timebomb goes off.

You have whatever they are comprised of sitting right there. The organic components are still there. Even in Destroy. The only difference is that it isn't alive anymore. You can still study them.
Bad confict resolutions are bad.
No one really cares either way you see, as the Galaxy accepts whatever choice you pick.

TIM's email suggests that she would delay the mission to ensure they're ready, but I've never tried it without being fully prepared and, in that instance, she's all for going straight after them.

I love that Miranda, she always give you the right advises to succeed the mission.
She also tells you to build the team before going for the reaper IFF, while Jacob tells you to go right away.

Never. Ever. Take Jacob's advice it tends to get people killed (case in point with sending him into the vents).
