Hmm... Working on latest chapter of fic... had rework some stuff... Should be available sometime this week. I do have a question:

Do you think Miranda would wear an engagement ring every day if Shepard had given her one to wear or would it be just too bulky over her black or white outfit? Or do you think she'd have it on a chain, a neckless or somewhere safe.

From what I read. I know that certain metals would give biotic's electric shocks when touching such surfaces?

I think she'd wear it when off-duty and relaxing with Shepard.

But on-duty or in any risky area, she would have it somewhere safe, like in the house she and Shepard retreat to when they have time to relax. 

That's assuming this is post-Reaper war.

Considering how private she likes to keep things, I think it would be hidden somewhere.

I have to say you timed that one really well. It was also necessary given what happens later on in the story.

Ummmm, how would that get her killed?  You do realize that if she's the one shepard romances, she's the most famous woman in the galaxy now.  She's the Princess Di of the Mass Effect universe.  She can NEVER go undercover again.  Everyone will know who she is right away.

So how would a ring get her killed, unless it gets stuck on her gun or something...

Not in my cannon. The slip off quietly together somewhere. I rarely ever play destroy though (because I think it's rather selfish of Shep, and that's not my Shepard's character). The only people who really know they were involved are his squadmates from 2 and 3.

EDIT:

And regardless of her fame, or lack there of in my case, she would have a very difficult time turning off her "spy" instincts. So whether or not it would actually get her killed is irrelevent.

Target the loved ones to get them to do whatever you want.   Like "Two Faces"? (forget if that's the name of the movie.  John Travolta and Nikolas Cage) but they went to the extremes with new faces.  Uses family members mostly as hostages.

Ok John Travolta and Nick Cage? Yea, I've never seen that movie. lol cant stand either of them.

But yea, that is the stereotype, assuming it is not widely known that Shep and Miranda are an item.

They already know that though after the events of ME3.  Shepranda are the most famous couple in the galaxy.  Everyone and their mother know who those people are, so putting a ring on her finger isn't going to let enemies know anything that someone who buys the mass effect version of People magazine doesn't already know.

Yeah, but after the war, it's gonna be hard to hide when she's visiting him in the hospital all the time. I mean, he was famous before, and now the whole galaxy owes their existance to him.

See I figure all his squadmates are going to be visiting him all the time, and only friends and family will be allowed to visit. Thus it wouldn't be all that obvious. I'm operating under the assumption, of course, that Miranda would do, and would want Shep to do, everything humanly possible to avoid publicity.

Oh... Miranda will be there when Shepard is recovering no doubt.  She is *his* doctor. 

I can't wait to get back to writing that story... After destroy.  Boy, that's going to be some emotional stuff.  I am debating on two scenerios... She doesn't wait for shepard to find her and she goes to find him.   The other one... I wrote first she waits for news.  Eh.. I may combine the two together.  She waits for a little bit but then goes to search... knowing Shepard he'd be heroic and get hurt. Oh Miranda... that's going to be some good stuff.

Good for you. The last conversation we had about models here made me want to lie down. I felt terrible. I'm glad you're doing better as well. Do you mind sharing how you resolved the issue?

Anyway I'm doing that Sentinel playthrough now and I'm really, really enjoying it. I took your guys advice and I'm romancing this "Miranda Lawson" that everyone keeps telling me about.
