I don't know that for a fact, and neither do you. No; there's not any evidence, but there's not any evidence to prove what I think is untrue.

I'm on the side that the Leviathans are smart enough to figure out how to get off of that planet. I don't think they're completely inept.

It's an I don't know/I don't know argument. Neither one of us had hard evidence that what we say is true, but we both think we are right.

You can interpret it any which way. No opinion is wrong.

The magic of...art!

Of course I can. I'm BringBackNihlus.

Even if they're smart enough, you assume they have the talent or the resources.

If Ieldra would get his ass in this thread he might be able to tell you about Das Weisse Band and speculative art.

Although Haneke is Austrian...

Here's my favorite picture:

They don't have to be smart enough. They control minds.

Well, see, that's problematic.  If they straight up control, the the problelm still remains, because they can't tell anyone how to build a spaceship because THEY DON'T KNOW.

If they just influence, then it's less problematic, but it still rests on the idea that nobody will notice all the smart people/construction crews/raw materials going to some random planet, a random planet shep knows is dangerous.

seriously, it's such a stretch to turn them into an actual galaxy threat.  They work better as a passive regional threat...

Seriously, fair enough.  We all get our own headcanons.  I just see them as the sad remnants of a dying race, you see them as a potential threat to the galaxy.

Of course, my head canon is better because it involves AshleyImage IPB

No krukow our head canons are better. This is a fact and cannot be disproven.

And now I have a head canon goal.

And it has yelling in it.

**** yeah.

I'll try to make this my final post about this, but It's more than headcanon for me (even though that's all it is at this point). I could seriously see BioWare using the Leviathans as a vehicle for new Mass Effect games.

Taboo--Would it be weird if I said that photo makes my pants tingle?

The same bioware that shoved Liara down our throat and sidelined Miranda?  **** them.

If they use this for a ME4, I probably won't play (unless shepley is in it, i'm only so strong).  I prefer to start a new story with Shep's having been told.  So don't let possibility ruin it for you.  Stargazer makes it clear, Shep won, Shepranda happily grow old together.

and it's not okay to be tingly over that pic.  PervImage IPB

No, no I've got something for Shepard and Miranda to do now.

I didn't want them settling down. They'd both go crazy. They MUST work.

Now I have a head canon.

Shepard will need to recover first though. A few months off won't hurt.

But then it's back to business.

Don't tell me you didn't get a little tingly with Ashley's bare rear end in Mass Effect or her awesome Leopard-print garments in ME3.

Shepard says he wants to kick back in ME3, but I agree with you on that. It reminds me of (most) athletes who retire and come back to their respective sports. You can deal with it for a while, but being away from it will drive you insane, and you have to come back in some capacity.

Taboo--don't be that way. It's human nature, dawg.

Am I the only one that finds issue in the fact that Leviathan can't NOT be recruited? I spoiled myself a bit and...God Damn it. I don't care if they can kill a god damn'd Reaper! I want to GTFO after knowing what they truly are. Why is there no choice in this DLC? It feels like Arrival again.

Though, Why the hell isn't the rest of the game as detailed as a DLC?

Also, the multiplayer mini games were annoying.

no: simply because they already lost once - where's the mystery or threat in that, old and powerful though they may be. (and seriously the fastest way to blow your cover is indoctrinating bases full of people, even if shepard was for some reason too dumb to notice).

Dlc did at least hint that the galaxy is big and dark enough to harbour just about anything though for ME4/whatever.

The worst part is what it does to the endings. Pretty much BioWare making Synthesis the "right" choice.

Not just yet. The job's only half done. Control is actually the best ending at the moment from this point of view because Commander can mobilze the full power of the Reapers to hunt down and eradicate Levianthans. But don't worry. I'm sure future DLC will definitively sabotage Control... or at least try its damndest to.

Did you miss the part where the levi took down the reaper, effortlessly?  I'm pretty sure Control is not as safe as you think it might be.  Did you play it yet?

If you mean in your cannon, your sheps going to take some reapers to kill them off? Again how?  They just flopped the reaper out of the sky?

;)

All that Leviathan had to do was think really hard and he took care of that Reaper in a matter of seconds. Maybe I'm forgetting, but I don't believe the Leviathan you spoke to (with the two you see flanking him afterwards) told you if there were more Leviathans out there. There may be more and and no one knows how many it could be.

there's no rvidence they "killed" the reaper, more likely incapacitated it maybe long enough to indoctrinate it/whatever. If it was that easy to kill reapers they'd never have lost to only one (harbinger) and his army of synthetics back in the day.

Shepard knows where the Levis are, all he needs to do is to drop an asteroid with nuclear heads on the planet and goodbyee levis.

I don't imagine they're just going to sit there on that planet and wait for Shepard to bomb them back to the Stone Age. They led Shepard on an all-time wild goose chase, I'm sure they could continue to do it.

They don't have eezo on the planet, they can't leave it. As long as we don't descend to the planet we are ok. They are easy targets for orbital drops.

pulse cannon. Also read the data pad stories on the ship in the tents.

You don't think that's a bit unfair?

I couldn't do that when I reviewed films in College. I couldn't just look at Trailers and then write about it.

You have to participate in some capacity. I had to go to the films or rent or buy them.

Why? Completely different situations. Trailers are marketing tools that are designed soley to hook you in, while revealing very little actual content.

Watching a section of a game on Youtube (particulary a story-driven one like Mass Effect) on the other hand reveals the entirety of the content. And if the content discussed is story progression or more specific elements of it, I don't see how gameplay affects that for better or worse.

Judging story elements in a vacuum is a mistake. But the context came through quite clearly on youtube.

Whether you agree or not, Bioware was trying to push synthesis. I understand your argument, but Bioware wants synthesis to be the chosen ending.

I'm a destroyer. And I want to see the Leviathans burn too.

balls. Still invalidated by the geth. The endings are just arbitrary forced design decisions.

That's what i'm trying to say. It's just BW has it in their head that Synthesis is a good idea.

I just want them to do something. My Shepard would get restless, so would Miranda. They need to do something. Dealing with the Leviathans is perfect.

They can still be there together but they also can work. That sounds like a win-win to me.

Because ME3 is a movie.

That said, I organized a convenient relay explosion on the way out of the system…
