They can still be there together but they also can work. That sounds like a win-win to me.
Fighting another galaxy-threatening battle sounds more like a lose-lose.

Well, to keep this on the topic of Miranda, What's her response to the 'Leviathans'? (Is there a better name because, I really hate that as a name for a species)

I didn't ask about the Emperor. I asked about other Sith. He was not mentioned as a Sith in Ep4. Indeed, he wasn't even conceptualized as a Sith until Empire. The novelization of A New Hope references him as a frail old man, nothing more.krukow wrote...
Edit: Oops, wrong trilogy. In a New Hope, the emperor is mentioned though, so no, it's not comperable.
You have to judge things by what's actually shown/seen in a narrative!
You hurt me with the things you say...

They are a threat that needs to be neutralised and once neutralised dissected for study.
They're not in the habit of nerfing endings already picked by only a minority. There's no pro-Synthesis agenda, that's a conspiracy theory. If anything, they're aiming for more balance. Example: DA2. They admitted they made the mages look worse than plausible because nobody in their test groups went with the templars.CrutchCricket wrote...
They're literally nerfing the endings. Control will be up next, to my bitter disappointment.

Why is there no choice in this DLC?
Because ME3 is a movie.
…
That said, I organized a convenient relay explosion on the way out of the system…
Quite possible. As an attempt to make it possible to accept the Catalyst as a character and judge its logic one way or the other based on a second source, Leviathan didn't do too badly.fiendishchicken wrote...

They might also be doing their best to clean up Mac and Casey's mess.

Bad bet? There are always hypotheticals.
It's foolish to believe that the galaxy will be a warm and fuzzy place afterwords. Even Ieldra has mentioned that the Leviathans will be an issue in Synthesis.
To be honest I'm not entirely sympathetic to a race that has done this much damage, if anything they need to dealt with as they will become an issue again. There will be no new thralls.
You know where they are. How they are dealt with is up to you. Google is your friend. There are lots of ways to **** up planets. It's water. Why not do something to the Ocean?
@lilitheris: No babies in the immediate future. That's just silly. There is no point in bringing a child into the world that is in such a state. Once things start getting better, say ten years down the road I don't see why the idea couldn't be brought up.
There are simply far more important issues at hand for the time being.

It's just some information that's been revealed.
