Really, I think adjusting the dialogue could have achieved this.

It would make some people feel better, but not me.

For me, the cerberus part is not the only thing missing about the character in ME3. And to be satisfied, I need a lot more than the ridiculous 5 minutes of conversation we have.

I didn't say that this was the most important and interesting thing about her. But it's part of her character, and I don't want to sacrifice to add something else.

I agree with that. But Orianna is not going to be sacrificed. That's not a danger.

I just mean that, when people talk about doing more with what is there, they mean stuff like: well, the whole point was a confrontation with Henry, why doesn't Miranda have lines at that point? If Orianna is a big part of the content, shouldn't we learn something new about her from that? Miranda's father is running a Cerberus base now, can't we find a few lines to hear Miranda talk about what that means to her?

You record 150 lines per session. You use that to further the plot if she's in a small role.

What are the important parts to a small role for her? Her relationship with Shepard and her sister. You can use both of those to finish her characters plot, even at the expense of other traits.

None of what I described above implies needing more lines, though. Much of it doesn't even imply a change in focus. For example, Miranda having lines with her father. That's something that can only happen at that point.

Adding additional content doesn't work for that.

You greatly underestimate the laziness of artists. If there is no need, you don't put it in. Can we get by without this? Then we don't use it. It's far easier to use filler material. Why? Because it furthers the other content we're trying to push.

That's why it's one sided. All of the content serves to further the traits they're using to string her character along. That's all it is.

Her sister and Shepard are the two that are used to string her along. Far easier to use that than write new lines.

Like I said, we all want more. There's no disagreement there.

Really, I'm just pointing out how something better could have been done, even with so little content.

I don't think any of us underestimate that, at least not generally speaking.

One of the most common remarks has basically been that Miranda's content is a lazy rehash Posted Image

Having said that, one can certainly respond by saying, "well, I would have preferred that this had not been such a lazy rehash with a lot of filler material."

I know, but it would have not changed my disappointment.

The main problem is that Bioware decided to sacrifice the ME2 characters in terms of content and impact on the story, so they can have their game ready in two years .. that's all.

I'm just suprised they chose to tell fewer stories instead of more. That's not usually their thing.

Plus, I never played DA2, but wasn't this the smallest squad in a BW game since ME1? Even KOTOR had 9 possible...

I didn't hate DAII as much as some people did. I really liked certain parts of it. One of my favorite parts was the dilouge system. You could select a humorous response and troll people the entire game. The entire game.

Oh, and I can't forget about Isabela.

Isabele is okay.  Morrigan is just better.  Here, I'll use those things from the SATs:

Morrigan:Miranda::Jack:Isabella

You know, I try to defend you mirimancers, but you keep saying silly things like this.

Leliana is the Liara of DA.  FACT.

Well, I like Liara. Morrigan is a b*tch who always thinks about herself and survival first and she's lying from the begining (which Leliana does as well, but comes clean a lot sooner). Also, if you played Leliana's Song you know she used to be a bad ass.

In comparison DAII is really bad in some areas. Like real bad. The rehashed dungeons are just AWFUL.

But it has great characters.

There is no better LI in DAII for a troll Hawke than Isabela.

The dialogue between them is hilarious.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. I don't want less of Oriana to have more of Cerberus. I just want more of Cerberus (and everything else missing).

Ok, well let's look at it this way: What did you learn about Orianna by playing this game? She was the focus, what do we know about her now that we didn't already know from ME2?

Oh. My. GAAAWD!? There is another Mass Effect game?! This one was so awesome to start with, I totally forgot.

Honestly, I think no matter what path you choose, Hawke is a lame protagonist, even mute warden had more charisma. And the only interesting characters I thought were Isabela and Varric, I do like to bring Isabela and Aveline together though, they always crack me up. Loved Anders in Awakening, but he was turned into a whiny, vindictive b*itch in DAII.

Hey krukow why don't you tell everyone how this blood got on Miss Gainsbourg's shirt?

And people here are complaining about how Miranda was treated in ME3.

LMFAO.

That is an interesting question.  What did more damage:
LOTSB to Miranda

OR

Miss Gainsbourg to Mr Dafoe's reproductive abilities?

I think Miss Gainsbourg wins, but it's a split decision...
