Hm, I’d have to YT to see, but it seemed like he thought it’d take Leng too long and thus risk capture—the data were more important.

Didn't TIM say, "Only if she gets in your way. Focus on the data."

Or something.

TIM wanted Leng to get the data ASAP.

He figured the Reapers would take care of her, and I think he still believed he could get her and Shepard back on his side eventually.

I don't think he really cared about having Shepard on his side in ME3, or he would have tried to negotiate with you. No, I don't consider his mad ramblings via hologram to be negotiations.

I get excited about these things just like lilitheris said. Gollum. That's a good description of me.

Veiled insults aside I should explain myself.

I believe the German word for what you're looking for is "Schadensfreude".

I simply enjoy seeing TIM get pissy that's all. I don't trust him with the tech. I blow up the base. Had it been someone else I would have considered it.

"I'm sorry I'm getting a lot of bull**** on this line."

My thoughts exactly.

@ Ventus, he does try to convince you when you talk to him at Mars, Thessia, and Cerberus HQ

On Mars (Dialogue has been paraphrased)-

Shepard: Why not join with me? We're here to find a Prothean superweapon. Help us defeat them!

TIM: You would do better than most, but the odds are not in your favor.

I remember TIM also says to Shepard's face "You were an asset". Not something you say when you want to work with somebody.

I think I'll just skip LotSB and Arrival. Mix things up. Also laziness.

Time to give that Blood Pack SMG a whirl alongside that Harrier.

As for TIM he's nothing more than a shell of whatever he once was in ME3. A puppet. He's been using Shepard since ME2.

It's been about him not humanity.

Hmm....I'd like to believe that, but why then send assassins after her.

The more you think about things the dumber they get.

TIM wanted her dead but didn't want Kai Leng to kill her if she didn't get in the way.

B on Thessia he definitely is trying to convince Shepard to join him

On Thessia, I only remember his "Guyz, I can control them. Trust me on this. I can totally do it, just back me up on it." spiel that he gives you in all of his conversations.

I see. Well, I didn't have an antipathy against TIM in ME2. I found him interesting, right until the end where it was foreshadowed what he would become in ME3. I find it regrettable that he didn't stay grey.

Now the Catalyst in ME3, I'd love to ****** that one off, only it's wasted since it's an AI and the good of the galaxy has a higher priority than my petty notions of revenge.

I don't hate TIM. The Ideals he supports can do a lot of good but I think he goes a bit too far sometimes. There has to be limit. Each choice must be weighed accordingly. Sometimes there is a better way.

That's why I'm so insistent on having Shepard and Miranda form something after the war. It won't be Cerberus and it will be more along the lines of what they want but the concept is still the same.

That is to say it will be an STG like group without the you know, Tetlin facilities. Or Aite for that matter.

Haha......you're not the only one. That idea has been brought up again and again in this thread since the very beginning. That's why I want Miranda to be able to take over TIM's space station. In my earliest post-ME3 vision, I've seen Shepard and Miranda make that place their home.

Or he just didn’t care about her that much. I don’t think it should be assumed that killing Miranda is at the top of his todo-list.

Well it's kind of...blown up in ME3. And there are going to be some issues with travel as I'm sure you're aware.

Shepard isn't going anywhere for a few months either. Those wounds aren't going to be healed overnight. There's a picture of Miranda in a nurse costume somewhere...Ventus has it I think.

The name that keeps getting tossed around is Phoenix. I'm terrible with names and I'll stick with the rather blunt mythological meaning.

Yes. The Phoenix. It's called me being ****ty with names.

It's deeply rooted in human mythology. Many cultures have a variant of it. It exists in Japan,China,India,Egypt,Vietnam and so on.

Just like Cerberus had it's root name in the three headed dog that Guarded the exit from Hades in Greek Mythlogy.

But the Phoenix represents more ideals. Multi-faceted.

That's why I said it was rooted in Greek Mythology.

But the Phoenix is more widespread. It means more to more people. That was my ****ty symbolism at work.

You can still be an STG group but you don't have to be experimenting with biotics on children to be beneficial.

Should something threaten galactic peace and the Alliance won't do anything about it? Send in Shepard and Miranda.

Nah, schadenfreude is taking pleasure in other people's misfortune, not directly causing it. Just so you know.

I am taking pleasure from his misfortune both caused and not. He's going to be butthurt over me blowing up the base.

He spent all that money on Shepard just to have him give him the middle finger.

How unfortunate.

Any further misfortune is not my fault.
