Miranda herself points out the hypocrisy in her decision. The implication from the control chip scene is that Miranda understands that her wanting to strip Shepard's free will was wrong, and that she was wrong for wanting it. The inference to be taken form the scene afterwards is that she has "changed", in that sense.

What's the problem?

Whoa there. Those be fighting words. ;)

But I agree with you. It's a realization that her ideals may not be as flawless as she once thought they were.

Now that I think about it, it's a good compliment to the "nobody's perfect" lin on Sanctuary.

And there's no such thing as normal either. It's a false notion.

The key is balance. Balance.

That's the arc development. She wanted to fit in and realized later that it wasn't quite what she wanted it to be. False notions.

She'll always hold certain ideals but she'll never be like TIM.

And this devlopment pisses off certain people in here to no end...

Here's a picture regardless of how you feel.

^ Pretty much. Although there would be some changes from Cerberus. No one will tolerate something exactly the same post war. It has to be more public than Cerberus was. But it would be doing "other" things on the side.

Shepard would be better with people though. Miranda would be better with the planning as you pretty much state.

A good team.

If the organization were to be comprised of multiple divisions, I think Miranda would lead the scientific division while Shepard handled the military.

Also, Jacob and Randall Ezno.

Also (also), if you saved Inali in Infiltrator, they could study some of the husk technology and refine it to make newer and better equipment for their soldiers.

That's very much my thought for who will head up 2 of the divisions in my headcanon.
Their initial mandate will be to acquire resources, put down insurrections before they start and design ways to fix relays. I see it still being clandestine from the general public.

Wouldn't they still have to work with the alliance then?  Alone, they really have no legal standing to do a lot of that stuff, they're basically the "good" version of warlords.

I'm not saying they'd be alliance/galactic council, but they'd have to work with them and operate under their jurisdiction, no?

With the Alliance, maybe, but not for them.

Hell, Miranda is already doing that.

There is no "problem." I just found the complete 180's they do from ME2 to 3 to be ironic.

In my fic, the alliance makes a large surge towards ultranationalism. To save humanity and the galaxy, they must save them from themselves.

That's called growth. When you realize that there are always multiple options to achieve something.

You weigh each choice on it's own.

It would have been pragmatic to implant him but it was not the best solution.

Plus, she's somewhat grown since the begining of ME2. I know back then she was fine with the idea of mindless shock troops, whereas I don't think she's fine with it now. I definitely don't think she'd be fine with using the cerberus troops (Tangent, I think the synthesis EC needed to show us what they did with all the now sentient husks, I cannot imagine a worse form of hell).

I don't know how mindless shock troops are different from mechs. Those thorian creepers for instance. It isn't as if they were created from humans, just in the human image for whatever strange reason. I don't see any reason to shy away from using those. It may be tasteless, but not evil. But if they're not better than mechs - and from in-game evidence they aren't - why not use mechs in the first place. I've never understood the reasoning for those shock troops.

As for the awakened husks, I don't see them getting their ex-human minds back. As I see it, they're avatars of their respective Reapers.

Nice. Where are all those Miranda 3d scenes coming from suddenly? It's as if post-ME3 everyone has a Miranda model and knows what to do with it.

Mr. Massakka told me that it's either that or nude models.

Take your pick Ieldra.

Well they'd have a pretty free reign in conducting their mandate but that mandate would come from the Interim Military governor of Earth(Hackett) and the expanded Council.

The nude model doesn't...match accordingly. Some of them are...misproportioned in some areas.

He has a very tasteful picture on his Deviant Art page.

What does this even mean? It wasn't like each individual husk was under control by a different Reaper.

I think Miranda would still be fine with mindless shock troops as long as they weren't created from sentient beings. They're disgusting, but not unethical.

It's takes practice but the program is actually really easy to use. Really, anyone with a working computer can give it a go.

Nice work, skullheart! :D Can't wait to see it finished.

I always assumed Miranda would work outside but occasionally with the Alliance. Breaking the law for the greater good. In my head, she works for the Shepalyst as both agent and to provide a human perspective.
