Some future style, I think, is the idea.

I agree it's a bit dodgy, but I like the image as a whole a lot, so that detail doesn't bother me much.

If David Bowie and Miranda Lawson were both hanging off a cliff, who would you save?

Well, Miranda is a biotic, and biotics are able to manipulate gravity (Samara hovers numerous times in ME2, and Singularity makes enemies float). She could float down the cliffside unharmed. Miranda wouldn't be in any real danger.

The cliff is over lava.  Even if she floats down, she still burns and dies.

Cerberus 2.0 can't exist post war. No one would tolerate it.

I dunno. Inevitably various shady organisations would crop up again. It's not like the powers that be ever authorized Cerberus' existence in the first place.

As to the organisation Miranda would be involved with, I think it would more likely be something new, with at least an authorized element. Maybe some covert aspects, too, though.

It's more fun that way.

I meant involving Miranda. But you summed up my vague post regardless.

A shady organization is going to crop up regardless.

A former high up in Cerberus in charge of something that looks just like Cerberus wouldn't go well at all.

It would have to be new.

There will always be a "Cerberus." It won't be called that, or use the iconography but there will always be an organization that breaks the law in pursuit of human excellence at political power. As there should be. I trust Miranda to lead it because I think she knows where the lines are. In my head, Lawson Industries serves as the primary front. The business is legitimate, but tucked away is the Phoenix Group Research and Logistics division.

I would love this picture so much if the blue top didn't look like a swimsuit.

As it is, all I can think of is Ashley's catty line about wearing swimwear into battle.

I mean, is that just some sort of style I'm unaware of?  I'm not the most stylish guy...

Dude, Ashley's a prude. This is her idea of high fashion.

But Bowie is a man who fell to Earth and...uh...he turned out OK?

I know, right? She won't even wear a tin foil mini-skirt.

Miranda. The lava would freeze from the coolness/otherworldliness of Bowie.

Biotics manipulate gravity. Miranda could just reduce her own mass enough to float up and away from the lava, then increase it again once she's safe to touch back down to the surface.

Problem solved.

If Shepard is biotic (like mine), he could help out.

Well, a lot of people wouldn't like it, but they never really liked it. The existence of something like Cerberus isn't really based on widespread approval. More on resources coming from somewhere, and a relatively small but dedicated group of operatives/soldiers.

I think Miranda herself would probably want to start over, though.

We get it. You have some weird obsession with a new Cerberus.

We get it.

I'm referring to vitriol.

I won't go into specifics here but certain countries actually shut down political parties if they begin to closely resemble "those" parties.

The reaction to its presence would be harsher. That's all I'm really trying to say.

Yeah. Simple is better sometimes. It's short, sweet, succint, to the point, and you know exactly how to feel.

If Shepard chooses either of those, then Miranda's dead already.

Oh, I don't really disagree. But there would also be a lot of upheaval in galactic culture. So... I think there's probably wiggle room for a lot of things happening.

But really Miranda's tendency has always been to want to see Cerberus as something basically legitimate (Humanity's STG), or potentially legitimate. So, I think she would probably prefer that.

Biotics can't fly.

You took too long.

They both fell to their deaths.

Taboo just pulled a Tali and jumped off a cliff.

That, and Shepard should be dead for choosing one of those options.

Yeah, I said it.

Control to be precise. Depending on the Shepard I'm using and therefore the Shepalyst's goals, she's either working for it as an agent and advisor or covertly working to smash the Reapers into tiny pieces. A black ops group is useful in either case.

Synthesis usually ends with her as a researcher somewhere remote. Destroy doesn't bear thinking about.

I agree with you one hundred percent.

Did I ever tell you how much I love that flashback?
