Ah, Miranda on the Normandy. The way it should've been. Posted Image

I hate using this excuse, but it's a video game, not a real person under real stress (regardless of Mac Walters' attempts to "humanize" Shepard). Appearances are reasonably expected to be consistent in a visual medium. "His memory is a little fuzzy" is a sh*tty excuse.

Well, I didn't actually use the stress argument, or the "fuzzy" argument. That's a valid point, but my point was more that it might just not be a "memory" in the strict sense. But more like a final wish or vision.

That actually sounds kind of nasty.

It sounds like Phlegm.

Who wants to be covered in mucus?

The used the ME3 model for the sake of visual consistency. Keep in mind, everyone new to ME3 will be seeing this flashback.

This is from the Garrus thread but it's so awful I had to post it.

Is this not the most hilarious Cosplay ever?

Initially, I was just happy to see Miranda instead of Liara.

It's interesting because, for me, Miranda is finally functioning as temptress figure there. Any choice Shepard makes would seem to end in death. He has to give up the life he wants to defeat the Reapers.

That can apply to literally any other character in the series who isn't Shepard, Harbinger, or the Catalyst. What does it have to do with Miranda herself?

As a username (not originally BSN), Flemm does derive from "phlegm," actually. But in the sense of "self-possession, calmness and composure."

It gives me a goal to strive towards Posted Image

...wut?

The only way he gets to be with Miranda is if he defeats them.

He gives up the life he wants if he allows them to continue as part of the galaxy...

In my fic, the alliance makes a large surge towards ultranationalism. To save humanity and the galaxy, they must save them from themselves.

So…this reformed Cerberus works against humans who are doing what the original Cerberus wanted? It’s an interesting idea, though I still don’t understand why all those people were in Cerberus to begin with.

Or is this not a part of the Cerberus reform movement?

. Point is, don't let the reapers continue.  Destroy or bust.

But that would imply a snippet of intelligence from Shepard's end.

Okay, maybe it works better for me because I choose Control/Synthesis. It is, quite literally, the galaxy or the girl for me. So there's sacrifice there.

Synthesis usually ends with her as a researcher somewhere remote. Destroy doesn't bear thinking about.

Synthesis is enacted on a thousand year old false scienetific principle called Vitalism. That has no thinking in it.

Even Ieldra agrees with me here.

It's horse****.

DO. NOT. MISREPRESENT. ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's been getting on my nerves for several weeks now. You leave no opportunity to put statements in my mouth I have never made.

I do NOT agree. Shepard's sacrifice in Synthesis, that is bullsh*t. Nothing more.

I think I remember seeing a longer animation somewhere. It's great regardless. And she gets 2.5 great slides. I think Miranda got the best EC treatment out of the whole cast.

They had a lot to repair, so it's only appropriate. But yes, I appreciate her slides very much, and the flashback is great.

Euh... Well, basically, in a horribly written ME3 prequel novel, the author has Leng eat cereal in the homes of his targets because it adds to the excitement.

I dunno. It's supposed to be a quirky and unexpected thing for the hardened assassin to do, I guess. But... it just came across as ridiculous, and it's pretty much defined Leng ever since.
