Just because Cash's version is better doesn't mean his isn't amazing.

They're both amazing.

There's a lot more to Closer than what can be taken a face value, especially the famous line uttered in the song.

oh, agreed.  LB isn't on the Who's level.  But, the studio recording of LB's version is better.

And don't appeal to which band is better.  ART is full of one-hit wonders who did one great thing among a sea of crap.

I'm saying LB's recording of that song is better than the Who's studio recording of that song.

The Who is still all-time great, and LB is rap-metal mediocrity.
