It would have been really interesting if ME2 had custom dialogue on this front if you took Miranda and Jack as your pair to fight the Terminator/Reaper. I think that Miranda resigning (and how she resigned) would have gotten her points in Jack's book.
TIM: I gave you an order, Miranda!
M: I noticed. Consider this my resignation. *hangs up*
Jack: You still might be a total b**ch, but I think I like the new you.

What? You guys are no fun. Am I the only one that doesn't use speech checks every so often? Diverse playthroughs and all that.
I don't want you to think I'm no fun! How about I promise to let Jack die in my next playthrough instead of using speech checks. Can we be friends again?
Well actually, if you could do the Grissom Academy mission with an unloyal Jack to see what happens that would be great. You know, for the science.
There seems to be no difference between a loyal and unloyal Jack. She was unloyal in my main ME2 playthrough, swearing at my Shep whenever he appeared. Then ME3 starts and we are best buddies. Got through Grissom Academy, had friendly banter, even got the dance. So I guess that flag is ignored.

Same here. I was surprised she hated my Shepard in ME2, strictly wanted to leave after the mission... and suddenly she is all paragon, teaching students at an acadamy. I believe I have just talked to her once before I sided with Miranda in the argument.oh brother wrote...

Only a unloyal Miranda is even more confusing at that point...

Why wear a tuxedo in ME2?

Nice to see someone get the reference.

Shepard has to look good for Miranda. Be in it a tuxedo or leather jacket.
She settles for nothing but the best.

Friendly? Perhaps not. But they're already professional enough to help each other up, for instance on the Collector ship in ME2.
My usual team is Jack and Miranda and other than the "On this ship we follow orders." and loyalty conflict conversations they get along pretty well. I really wish that there had been some interaction between Jack and Miranda in ME3 considering the character development they've gone through.

I do see her asking him to shave after the war.

The thought of my Shepard sitting there doing that makes me laugh.
Because he would do that.

Mine as well.
He shouldn't though. He's a terrible artist.
It would look something like this-

Shepard: How do you like it?
Miranda: Errm, what is it, exactly?
S: It's you!
M: Oh.... It's very... Pretty.
S: It's good, right?
M: *fumbling for words* Oh, um, yes. It's delightful. I'll go and stick it on the refrigerator now.
*later*
James: *notices painting* What the-- Who painted a picture of Leviathan and stuck it to the fridge?
