She is very hard to kill. The "she could be dead" excuse is not an excuse. But I won't get into that here.

I'm okay with Thane and Mordin. My canon Shepard never meets Legion.

. You seriously gave legion to Cerberus?

Oh the humanity!

I'm okay with ME3's squad. Though I think one or two ME2 members would make a nice addition. Personally, I enjoyed the ME2 characters a lot more than the ME1 (barring Wrex. I love Wrex.)

I understand Thane, Legion, and Mordin dying. Jacob was not a dynamic enough character to really get my attention. And correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Miranda the hardest person to kill in the SM? Even Garrus and Tali have more opportunities to die...I think.

Well Jacob has the highest survive percentage. He is easy to kill but you have to characterise your Shep as an idiot to do it.

When I can make the choice I'm more than pleased to experiment. Having the Geth die above Rannoch is not forced and I can make it as tragic as I want to be.

Unlike ****** McGee who has some serious issues with vents.

Or just, you know, completely indifferent to his survival

Jacob was/is always my crew escort. Who did other people use?

I find the squad in ME3 to be incredibly dull. It's all rainbows and sunchine.

Everybody agrees, all love the alliance, Shepard is god...

There is no diversity, no ethical debate or interesting perspective.

Wrex could've been awesome to have.......but no.

They should've been at least 2 ME2 squadmates, to bring diversity and differents points of view. It would've been hard, code wise, but damn it would've been worth it. It really would have given a feel that this is the sequel to ME2, not ME1.

Damn in ME2, we had a geth, an asari justicar/ Ardat-yakshi, a krogan, a drell, a salarian...
So much richness and different things to learn and see

The only interesting squadmate was Javik, but he was DLC of course

Question was pretty easy for me as well: "Who is not really needed for anything and should go back to the ship?"

Javik doesn't love the Alliance, nor does he regard Shepard as such. James Vega goes out of his way to point out that he recognizes Shepard isn't a god now that he knows him. EDI is impressed by Shepard's continued survival (her words) and regards the Alliance as necessary, but doesn't love it, I wouldn't say. Liara thinks very highly of Shepard, sure, as do Garrus and Tali, but do they love-love-love the Alliance in particular? I don't think so, especially in Garrus' case. And the entire point of the VS arc is to play a minor, salvageable "Judas" role re: Shep.

In conclusion? I don't agree. :\\

Ohh. That must sting, Katcrave.

Personally unless I can make peace between the Geth and Quarians, I'll choose the Geth anytime. Too bad they supposedly all die in Destroy, my canon ending.

I always kill 2-3 squadmates during the SM, and Jacob's volunteering for the ducts tends to lend him as an easy target, so he doesn't often make it far enough to be sent back. So, Mordin.

Hehe, yep!

Though I had heard of Mordin dying while holding the line despite being loyal, and that's why some people send him back with the crew. Can't say I'd ever had that problem, though I did get worried when I saw him fall over while Thane was reporting in, on one occasion. :P

Or in my case handwave a couple of lines. It's what half the Mirimancers on the site find themselves doing re: Miranda in ME3, so it shouldn't be too alien.

. Killing legion was actually a good moment in the game, it was a well done emotional scene:crying:  On par, no wait better than Mordin's death

I've always sent Mordin.

In fact I think Jacob goes on a grand total of two missions in ME2 for me. Freedom's Progress and his Loyalty Mission.

He sits in the ship for every other part of the game unless I decide to take him on the Firewalker Missions or something.

I'd put Mordin's over Legion's for sure, but they're both solid.

. Organics over synthetics, Javik approves, his dialogue post geth extinction is much better than the make peace talk, actually everyone's dialogue is better after the geth are killed

Better than the Quarian ****s. The reason I feel any guilt is because of Legion's sacrifice. But then again, casualties are a part of war.

Hey, I always make peace with the Quarians/Geth. And I still (usually) shoot the tube. Sacrifice is the name of the game.
I like Legion and the Geth. But am I willing to risk life as we know it to preserve them? Ehhhhh....
