I'm jelly.

I'd start singing to you but I'm all out of Bowie quotes.

I've been in a good mood for quite a while now. Days. Most excellent. Usually I'm not this chipper.

I'm in such a good mood I'm going to go through the games again. This time I'll stick to my bread and butter, the Vanguard.

That's what I thought when I looked at it.

...or she's getting ready to convulse.

But is the importance of the scene diminished?

Are the shot angles viable?

Gaaaaaaaaaah.

From experimenting with the fly cam and the different angles the up-close facial expressions they have in the game are BETTER than the ones I was flipping through.  So yes, the director or camera/animators did a good job.  The above photos' are awkward in some places.  I have a family photo to share.

Shepard and crew are outside the door ready to enter.  And they are standing like this. :o

That's standard. They load in those positions. They use the in game models to lessen something something I don't know about.

Pre-rendered scenes are the ones that never show Shepard's face. That's why they can show your custom Shepard enaya.

And I was talking about your shots ma'am. I'm nerdy like that. Frame by frame is so much fun.

That's a screen from a different angle, though. The angle in that part of the cutscene doesn't look like that. Miranda's shot from Shepard's back with the, "Still impatient, Commander?" part until it swings around to the front of Shepard (then into the side shot for the fade to black ending).

Dawg that isn't what I mean. You can change the entire way a scene works by changing the angle. A close up here and a close up there can fix a lot of things.

They do that to films sometimes in the editing room.

Having a static shot like the one above would ruin the scene for me.

There MUST be cuts back and forth.

I happened to snap this one at a very weird moment.

Shepard fell to his knees begging her to come to the Normandy. *kidding* Shepard's model glitched but it was funny having Miranda look down at him. I got it, he's proposing. Heh, heh.

It's almost two in the morning. I don't have time to be as specific as you need me to be. When I finally get on Skype I can tell you ALL about it if you REEEEEEALY want me to.

Anyway I should probably go to bed. I will try my best to dream of fabulous outfits.

Here's an interesting question.  Even if she was on the Normandy when Shepard was about to attack Cronos station, do you think she would have had enough time to recuperate from her "scratch" and using her biotics to the extreme on Sanctuary?  She seemed to look very "blue" and worn out.

I don't think I'd be okay with having her fight another battle on Cronos after doing so on Cronos. I think she needed some time to rest up and deal with whatever "scratch" she had.

You're mixing up cause and effect. The wound was given to her in survival scenarios for the explicit purpose of making her absence from Cronos somewhat plausible. For some reason, the writers didn't want her there. If Miranda were written into the Cronos Station scenario, she wouldn't have been wounded badly enough in the fight with Kai Leng or by her father to have an effect.

You see it in the e-mail: Miranda is active in spite of being wounded. They ignored the wound in order to repair some of the damage done to Miranda by writing her out of the story at the exact time when she should've been written into the main plot in a more significant capacity.

Miranda:Hey Shepard, Ori is safe now, nothing can hurt her anymore. Bye bye.

bioware, just WTF?!

You didn't even give a reason for not havung Miranda back, but you ignored reason for some characters to not join Shepard.

this! so many times this!!

Garrus gets shot in the head in ME2 and is up and raring to go. Miranda's wounds are supremely weak as an excuse for her absence. She should be at Cronos.

We did have two ME2 squadmates

When we're talking about ME2 team members, we usually mean ME2-exclusive team members, i.e. those who weren't in ME1, which excludes Tali and Garrus.

@wright1978:
Of course she should. That doesn't change that the wound is an excuse to keep her away. Writers bend things as they want them. I can tell you from experience that they'll go absolutely nuts with retcons, adding or removing or re-interpreting things to hell and back to get what they want, be it a specific encounter or a specific emotional mood or dynamic. The good writers put some effort into it, though, so the reader will never notice, and they'll occasionally give in to the demands of consistency.

Bioware's writers are not of that calibre. They put in what they want and just ignore consistency when it suits them, making a token effort at most to make it appear plausible to the player.

Had they wanted Miranda on Cronos, she would be there. They didn't want it, in spite of the story screaming for her presence there. Thus, she isn't there, and to hell with consistency, the beauty of ending a character's story where it began, and appropriate closure for Miranda's Cerberus arc.

To get back on topic, what would Miranda do on Rannoch?

She would try to make peace in order to maximize the resources for the war against the Reapers. If peace was impossible, she'd side with the quarians because they have no history of making themselves slaves of the Reapers.
