Definitely the best Miranda slide.

Granted, I've only completed the EC once but how do you get this slide?

I'm pretty sure some of the Reaper images were seen on Cronos during Mars. Headcanoning TIW.

I too appreciated "no perfect ending." Perfection means that there's really no choice to be made, only success or failure. The ending is deeply flawed, but at least you have to ask what matters to you and what you're willing to sacrifice. Because Shepard can be with Miranda. He just has to pay (or rather, make synthetics pay) the price. Alex couldn't.

@BP. Choose Control.

Refuse is the dumbest ending in the game. The whole point is to use the catalyst. Not 5 minutes earlier, Shepard tries to use the catalyst, completely unaware of what it will do. It could do anything, fire it off anyways because it's our only hope.

Then, you go upstairs, and starchild tells you what it will do, even gives you three options to choose from, and then, AND THEN, you cross your arms, pout, and refuse.

So basically, it's okay to use the catalyst when you don't know what it will do, but when you do, and you can have some measure of control, it's immoral.

Refuse is so utterly retarded.

Well, then choose Destroy, and you'll get your happy ending. Shepard definitely beats the Reapers and has Miranda there to start their life together. There's only the price to pay by the synthetics. So you'll have the happy ending. What you don't have is a morally comfortable ending, and I appreciate that quite a bit. It's the real sacrifice, you know, the one you can't avoid. That's as it should be from my point of view.

The rustling must be more severe in my case.

We came to on agreement on Destroy yes?

Not everyone has an "Us vs. Them" mentality.

I like that they added in refuse. Gives that sense of player agency. You've got a choice. If you want to you can dig your heels in and suffer the consequences.

‘The consequences’ being that you—Shepard—directly cause the deaths of  every single evolved sentient being in the galaxy.

Paragon? Not so much.

I prefer the one where she's rebuilding with the map. But not the Synthesis version.

You can head canon ALL the slides together you know. They can be studying DEAD Reapers in the Control slide.

What if you could get all three of her slides to play? Control, Destroy and Destroy Romanced?

Would that not please everyone?

Standard paragon maybe not. Extreme paragon however i feel wouldn't be able to accept any of the morally questionable options and would dig his/her heels in for a clean victory and suffer defeat via refusal.

Is there a way to get all those slides to play? You'd have to **** with the files I know but can it be done?

PC obviously. I should get a new laptop while I'm at it.

And I know you can get film grain...

The EC made Destroy a viable ending. It's just not my favorite one. You don't think I'm happy that my Shepard dies in those endings which, from my point of view, are best for the galaxy, do you? I'd like to have a happy ending just like anyone else, but since I don't want to pay the price with my main Shepard, I have to let him die. I can headcanon him coming back, though. It even makes for an interesting story.

I think at one point we were experimenting with different edited versions of that, with Shepard in the open area there. Some of them were pretty cool Posted Image

Shepard's dead if you get that slide.

I'm pretty sure...

Also, it's a rendered pic, and most people don't play with Sheploo, so it's impossible.

I don't consider Miranda and Shepard reuniting to be a happy ending. Billions of people are dead. We sit in ruins. The only thing that saves it from being a crapshoot is the EC retconning Walters' dark age nonsense.

I refuse to make it happier. I don't like Synthesis for that reason.

The Destroy slide is great except for being bugged. I've never seen it in-game. I prefer Control because Ori is there, thus refuting the work/family dichotomy. But Miranda really did make out like a bandit in the EC.

By your reasoning, a happy ending was impossible before the victory fleet got there.

Because billions didn't die during that battle.

And the red beam of victory death VICTORY didn't kill anyone but the geth (who you already killed) and EDI.

So that's 1 person it killed.

I don't consider any of the endings happy. All have a sacrifice. Shep and Miranda re-uniting in destroy is just part of the sweet element to counteract the bitter element.

She can't be romanced I believe. She's waiting for Shepard if romanced. That's there CUZ REASONS.

Well not my shep but close enough. Shep eyes on the map, not on your girlfriend's cleavage!

Yes. I've been saying this for months! The first post I made on this forum was about how there would be no "happy" endings and how Bioware could learn something from the Old Masters. They did.

It's all a Terrible Lie.
