She's never said she didn't enjoy the role. I think it'd be a requirement anyway, if you're going to have the face modelled after you as well.

From what I've seen, she sticks to NDAs so doesn't like to reveal too much. Plus, I can imagine it's hard to get excited about voice recording when you're used to hanging round on sets with other actors and really inhabiting a role (that doesn't vary depending on player interaction).

Plus, there's the cold hard fact that she probably wasn't really paid to promote the game at all, this time round and she had a reduced part anyway.

Essentially, don't give up on Miranda DLC, guys!

Also, sorry, I'm at work so don't have access to Miranda pics, and I don't like hotlinking, so can't put a picture in here.

EDIT; TOP MIRANDA

I did it for you, scrah.

I'm not saying Yvonne doesn't care or like Miranda, I'm just...speculating. Speculation from everyone! B)

...and trust me, I'm certainly not giving up on Miranda DLC. I'll be crusading for it until it happens.

That's when Miranda is walking towards Oriana on Illium.

This.

People, how involved do you want Yvonne to be to meet your standards?

And Yvonne is Miranda. Anyone else is a separate character.

Miranda as is, is acted perfectly by Yvonne.

Tricia Halfer is an even more known actress than Yvonne is and since the second game she has shown a lot more enthusiasm about her role. Same thing with Seth Green and Martin Sheen even. Yvonne doesn't talk about the role, while everyone else does. Guess I must be crazy if these don't meet my standards. ;)

No, Vigil states that the reason Sovereign didn't reveal itself was because that would unite all the races of the galaxy against it and even A Reaper couldn't survive those odds.
Dozens of thousands of Sovereigns created over a billion of years of Cycle? Yeah, they can pretty much curbstomp the galaxy.

I don't think she particularly enjoyed the role either, but all I ask of actors is for them to do a good job. Strahovski met expectations. I don't want to see her in a live action version because I don't like her as an actress. But I don't demand she love the role.

Yeah, Helfer and Green have nerd followings. We need to rope Strahovski in, too.

And I forgot to respond to this yesterday...

I was actually going to post this as a thread itself in the Spoiler Forum, but I love this thread, so I'll bring it up here. Some may be aware of it and it may be old news, but I found it extremely interesting as I completed this mission yesterday.

I feel like TIM turning into a bad, bad man in ME3 was actually foreshadowed in ME2, and here's why:

After you aquire the Reaper IFF on the derelict Reaper, the mission summary reads like this:

"Reaper IFF retrieved. Loss of Cerberus team on Reaper vessel unfortunate but unsurprising.

Will use team's health records for comparisons against husks encountered on Reaper for possible insight into indoctrination and husk conversion process."

I don't know about anyone else, but when I read that for the first time I was kind of disturbed by it; obviously relative to Mass Effect. I don't know about anyone else, but that's exactly the route TIM takes in ME3. He is studing indoctrination and the husk conversion process, and masters it with the help of one Henry Lawson. Henry Lawson is bad. The Illusive Man is bad. Bad people doing bad things = not good. Therefore, no Collector Base to enable bad people doing bad things. I felt this way pre-ME3 not knowing what would happen, and I feel that way now.

That's interesting, and I can't say I bothered to read that. I figured Miranda was compiling those reports but that seems like it comes from TIM.

Think people mistake engagement outside of the job as a measure of enjoyment of the job. Think Strahovski is a driven professional who engages whilst she's doing the job(Her delivery of Miranda's lines is excellent imo). I loved SMG's portrayal of Buffy and the facthe wanted to keep her work and life separate didn't negate her passion for the job.

Thanks for noticing that. My self hubris had taken MASSIVE DAMAGE.

I never really pay any attention to the mission reports either; I usually just skim right by them, but something made me stop and read that one. I know the Cerberus morality "shift" has been talked about a lot on the forum recently, so I figure I'd bring that up.

Huh, what? I meant no offence or whatever...but if I caused MASSIVE DAMAGE I will take it.

I do think that's a good observation. Though now I'm unsure who was writing the feedback there. I mean, TIM is clearly onscreen so you get the sense he's 'saying' those things but it could also mean that's Miranda reporting directly to the Illusive Man, updating him of their status. I'd have to replay the game and pay more attention.

She may not be a dedicated nerd herself, but I think Strahovski enjoyed her voice-work for it.
It's also not correct that she didn't do anything for Miranda: She has engaged with it quite a lot when ME2 was about to hit stores. Maybe not as much as Helfer or Green, but she cared more than others.

2012 however, it was just not necessary to give interviews when you only voiced a very small role. I bet she went to a studio one morning, got back at midday and she was all done with it. Just a small question how the game was to her fans and well... saying more would make her look idiotically proud.

None taken.

I meant that by self confidence had taken a hit on a MASSIVE DAMAGE scale. It is all in jest, of course.

Somewhat.

I like her having a smile, but I would like it to be a little more subtle...kind of like this.

Other than that, the image is quite satisfactory.

LOL, how TIM responds to people being killed on the SM, it's almost like I hear Javik's CO talking in the background: "Their sacrifice will be honored in the coming empire."

I find it funny that Shepard will say "People gave their lives for us" when no ones died. : / In fact, There is actually a whole seperate dialogue for if no one has died which doesn't play for some reason.
