I'm simply doing a Vanguard again. I've never been good at anything else. That has always been my canon class. He'll be the first to go through Leviathan.
I wish Adept didn't suck so much on ME2. That's what I would use.
Lack of biotic charge is...problematic, but having all those biotic powers.
Heavy risk...
BUT THE PRIZE.

Now that I've become more familiar with the game mechanics I can play the game a bit more clearly now. And I'm referring to things like the Paragon/Renegade checks. I had always had to play to one extreme in order to make that check with Miranda and Jack. Now I know what to do.
I usually end up being neutral so some checks can be goofy at times.

You should try Engineer or give it another chance. It's a fun class.

But I'll make Kaidan the VS this time around. I still don't have Barrier. I use Reave in both ME2 and ME3 though. It substitutes warp in ME2 and allows some serious damage protection in ME3. Also it sets off some SERIOUS Biotic Explosions in ME3. All you have to do is cast and charge.

I've always enjoyed being up close and everything. The Vanguard is perfect for that. I believe the class is described as "High Risk, High Reward". I like things like that.

*snip*
Shepard/Liara/Javik is you want a biotic symphony of destruction. That **** is fun.

A pity they are so hard to do in ME2. Miranda is very useful with a Vanguard though, as someone needs to strip defenses before Shepard charges in there.

I bring Javik with me everywhere. Dark Channel is FABULOUS for setting off Biotic Explosions.

Kaidan is good for that too.
I just kill **** with guns guns and guns.

I've been mixing it up recently. Waiting to do the Kasumi and Zaeed LM until AFTER Horizon. I try to get most things out of the way pre SM. Then I only have LotSB and Arrival left.
And then it's time for ME3.
Ditto on the Kasumi and Zaeed LMs after the SM.
Though, that's mostly due to Kasumi's LM being my absolute favorite and Zaeed's requiring 90% Paragon to complete.
It doesn't take a lot Lance. I think maybe a bar of Paragon. Really. I mean that.
Nope, takes as much as the Miranda/Jack, Tali/Legion, and Grunt/Mordin arguments do.
it scales depending on where you are in the game and how much paragon/renegade you have. All the major decisions in me2 do the same thing.

Especially when you set off Dark Channel with more Dark Channel. That makes me a happy young man.
Warp from Liara, Dark Channel from Javik and a biotic charge from Shepard with the AOE power evolution.
WINNING

Your squad mates freak out and start shooting the air because certain enemies achieve orbit.
It's so ****ing funny to look at.

If you cast Reave with an AOE on multiple enemies a charge will set ALL of them off. It's HILARIOUS. You cast it and Cannibals fly everywhere.

I still miss enemies flying from biotic charges on ME2. I don't believe it happens in ME3. You could just send people over rails and off the map.
Plus, the slow down into the Geth Plasma Shotgun action.

I use the Eviscerator. I don't like the GPS. It's an "Un-Shotgun".
But I'll be using the Wriath this time in ME3. It's FAR lighter than the GPS and it can do just as much damage.

Yeah, it's nice when Miranda does the stripping before you charge in.Taboo-XX wrote...

Though I think I actually played my ME2 vanguard like my asari vanguard in ME3 MP. Sniping with the carnifex and charging when things get too hot. ME3 turned me into an incredibly aggressive player where pretty much EVERY character becomes high risk/high reward....

Squadmates use it more as well. For whatever reason.
Miranda is the only character that goes on every missions with my Shepard.
She DOES love writing reports.

Yeah as it turns out the Carnifex is a bit better for certain situations than the Phalanx is. Funny how that works.

She's the swiss army knife of ME2 squad mates, and she's an ****in' awesome swiss army knife.

I owe...a lot to David Bowie. A lot.
I owe all of my success to my hands, like Freddie Mitchell.
""I just want to thank my hands for being so great."
Also, now that we're pretty removed from the jimmies-fest, I'd like to debut my little image now. If I made fun of David Bowie, would that rustle your jimmies, or would they be unaffected?

Feedback is appreciated.
THANKS!
