The vote is irrelevant. Miranda has made her choice. She sees the inherant art of Hit 'Em Up and Changes (especially Changes) and sees through the superficial facade of Bowie.

You're obviously not aware of how much Miranda likes Who Shot Ya, Hypnotize and Going Back To Cali.

Miranda can't take someone seriously when they claim to be a player, but their wife slept with their rival.

It would be like if Miranda slept with TIM in ME3...

What is this I don't even. You two are terrible.

How would you destroy a planet? I mean, it's not something you think about everyday. But you'd need to keep the corpses intact for study.

What could be learned from such beings?

1.   We're simply upgrading Miranda's music tastes.  She deserves it.
2.  It would be nice to keep them alive, but that's a secondary goal.  We already have reaper corpses to study.  If we can't save their remains, I'm fine with giving them the Kaidan treatment.

Again, though, we assume they're still a threat apart from their little orbs.  They've spent millions of years hiding DEEP in the ocean, I doubt their ability to escape anymore.  Deep sea creatures don't come up very often (sperm whales are the only ones I can think of, and they're more in the ability to dive deep catagory...)

I don't want to risk having those bastards running amok again. Their hubris already made the galaxy suffer for millions of years. If anything I'd like to think that Phoenix would make a habit of finding these things and wiping them out.

It's an ugly thing to think about but given their track records I'd like to kill them before they become an issue.

Like Deathclaws.

You assume there's a ton of them. They've spent millions of years hiding. Literally, that's all they did. I think evolution (a big part of ME) will have forced them into hermit status. I know they WANT to reclaim their old status, but I want to dunk a basketball. There's a difference between what you want and what you can realistically do sometimes.

Besides, as you pointed out, the star grandpa scene proves their's never a leviathan uprising.

So i just assume we shoot orbs on sight, and they know their place (because they know about orbital nukes).

Yeaahhhh but stuff. In one interpretation one might say one of the reasons society has lasted as long as it did was because it was kept safe by "The Shepherd" post war too.

They are still an issue in Control. And they're still an issue in Synthesis.

In fact you simply have an already advanced being capable of advancing faster. Ugh what an ugly thought.

What is Ieldra going to do?

I loathed those things.

I need to go back through NV. I played it once before they patched it. I really liked it. I'll buy the complete edition this time.

You know what was worse though?

Cazadores.

I would think they're a bigger issue in destroy. In synthesis, everyone becomes a hippy commune because it's a stupid ending, so why not? But that is the ending, universal love and stuff.

In control, there's a reaper army waiting to stop them, the same army that drove them into hiding in the first place.

In destroy, it's just the galaxy now. They could theoretically rise again. I just don't think they can because I doubt:
1. Their ability to survive outside of deep sea.
2. Their numbers.
3. Their ability to do anything without orbs already placed everywhere that we know about and would shoot on sight.

Still, destroy takes the most head canon to deal with them...

Those are by far the most infuriating enemies I've ever dealt with in a video game. The Deathclaw was a one man band, but the Cazadores would just gangbang you to death.

That's actually pretty much how I envisioned that going. Miranda wouldn't let him keep it there.

Thanks for that.

Am I the only one that left the head behind? I didn't want that bloody thing in Shepard cabin.  It would give him nightmares.  Who wants to be reminded of husks head all day, everyday...

I'll admit I did play with it a few times but sheesh... but it's not coming home with him. :P

I remember running back to town while poisoned and gobbling down anything in my inventory to stave off dying from that poison. And I did it. It was so ****ing dumb. Running down cliffs from giant wasps. WASPS.

I'm simply applying the Leviathans to give Miranda and Shepard something to do. I mean I don't see them retiring in a beach house for the next hundred years. They need to do something because they'd both go crazy. Why not use such a power couple to further the greater good?

Yeah?

that's fine, I just don't think the leviathans are some huge threat. They're another species that better fear the Krogan/human/quarian alliance that is super strong because shep totally solved their problems (in your playthrough and mine). I mean, really, those three races working together are going to have problems with 9 deep sea organic reapers? Puh-leaze!

But Shep and Miranda will have plenty to do. The (43) remaining batarians could get uppity...

If you play with the head enough it explodes!

What a horrid double entendre.

I'd imagine that if Miranda went back on the Normandy and moved into the Captains Cabin a LOT of things would change in there.

Bush would have been a good leader for ME3. He's have been ready for military build-up the moment Shepard mentioned reapers. He would have given us conventional victory.

The problem was all the ME leaders were space obamas...

I've never denied she was a terrorist. If she were a real person, I'd want her in jail.  But there are terrorist organizations throughout history that have sympathetic or semi-sympathetic goals and eventually morphed into something semi-legitimate. Others had to be utterly repudiated. In ME2, it was possible to see Cerberus as the first type. In ME3, they are squarely the second type.

It was possible to see them as the second type, if you ignored ME and the preceding decades. For most of which Miranda was present.

@flemm: I’m not talking about a ‘perception problem’ (although that exists). You keep mentioning characterization—which is a good thing—and my problem lies there, as noted above.
