it's not just a sowrd, is a monomolecular sword. And a sword cut isn't fast as a bullet, so the shields don't consider them as a threat.

And in MP, it isn't easy to kill a Phantom with a drell. Charge is a double-edged sword against them.

Sure, makes total sense. Vorpal sword.

Question: where does one keep it when not using it?

Yeah but I seem to recall my Shepard having a grapple moment with Kai Leng. They locked sword and...Omniblade. I know you can do this. Anyone else do this in the fight? You have to mash the melee button to knock him back.

Before he you know...destroys the floor panels and starts bragging.

"SHUT UP!"

Yeah he's kind of a ****** poor villain. He's like a Phantom that just won't die. I mean, I'm a Vanguard right? I can charge in, stun him, fire several rounds into, punch him with a heavey melee and he runs away.

All while taunting me.

That's what makes stabbing him so satisfying. And the son of a **** is still alive even AFTER Shepard walks out of the room! He's still moving!

"You're slow, Shepard!"
"I'm faster than you. Because I've had my Weetabix!"

Hmm, that may only make sense to British people of a certain age...

I've seen that guy somewhere B)

It's not that gore. You don't see much, it's just one moment where the  foot.......crushes it....

Okay maybe it's quite gore.

Oh, cool. Wasn't sure if elsewhere ever got the adverts for it. Though I think they've revived the concept since.

Essentially, it was someone doing some amazing feat and then the comment, "Someone's had their Weetabix..."

Messy messy!

It would have been interesting to have them implement that gore system from DA in ME3.

So you'd look a bit like Gosling in that GIF. You know, after you used a shotgun on a Cerberus soldier or a Cannibal.

I was hoping that I would never have to discuss Gaspar Noe on this site.

We don't have to discuss it. I don't want to discuss it. The gif just reminded me of the opening bit.

Instead, let us discuss this lovely colouring of Vierna-Drottingu's Leng vs. Lawson picture.

Not if you're using a Drelldept, Reave or the Acolyte can knock out her barrier then Cluster Grenade to send her to her death.

One thing that confuses me is if TIM's sparing no expense to turn his secretarial pool and the office dullard into a troupe of space ninja/ballerina hybrids why not just integrate the swords into their cybernetic arms Adam Jensen style? It sure beats having to worry about being disarmed.

Actually Refn called Noe up to ask him for advice on that scene. That's why they look that way. But that isn't why the film is so infamous. I don't want to talk about that part. Dear God no.

Enter the Void may be worse though. There's this one scene...with a certain organ coming RIGHT at the camera.

Can´t be much worse, then seeing a fully grown Udo Kier got born in Lars´ The Kingdom series.
The photo girls at my school screamed at that scene... It was awesome!   :P

Oh boy, ok that was gore. Poor gosling.

Anyway, to deviate from the irreversible possible discussion, i have a question.

If there wasn't Miranda in Mass Effect, who do you think you'de have romanced ? or no one ?

Nomance Shepard. I'd be completely fine with my Shepard having blue balls.

There was only one lady who was crazy enough to match his crazy.
