Miranda is the only one crazy enough to do it. She even states as much.

Bahahahahaha.

She messed with him. Huh.

Oh dear. I'm going to have to re-evaluate this entire "Bowie" thing. I may have done more than I thought subconsciously.

My brain is leaking more than usual!

I didn't really consider having my Shepard get involved with anyone until I saw her in the game and was like "Whoa where did this character come from?" That was...a few years ago now. I remember doing all these playthroughs to get my Shepard up to level sixty in ME1. No romance. Just straight through.

Then he found someone as crazy as he is. So it all worked out in the end. At least he has someone to go back to after the war. He didn't have a family.

THE ART.

Between this and you're earlier insulting of Kaidan, I'm starting to sense a pattern among the characters you don't like...

Woah, there. Just a moment. I have nothing against homosexuals if that's what you were insinuating. I'm an athiest New Yorker, attending NYU (its a mostly gay, private university in lower manhattan) so thus I have no reason what soever to dislike them for any reason.

Besides, BioWare happened to make two downright aweful characters (namely Traynor and Cortes) who just happened to be gay.  They're thrown into the story like an afterthought, when they could have been done quite well, actually.

And, on top of that, Kaiden can be romanced by Femshep. Thus: not gay. Next time you make such accusations, or hint at such accusations, please be damn sure they are appropriate in the situation.

And lets have no more of that, yes?

Besides, you're just upset that I insulted Ashley.

One thing that confuses me is if TIM's sparing no expense to turn his secretarial pool and the office dullard into a troupe of space ninja/ballerina hybrids why not just integrate the swords into their cybernetic arms Adam Jensen style? It sure beats having to worry about being disarmed.

An even better question would be why did TIM spare no expense in building his army of cyber deathninjas and then decide to skimp at the last minute by giving them all dollar-store knockoff swords?

A phantom staring stupidly at her broken sword is comical indeed.

And while we're at it, why aren't the wannabe Iron Man gauntlets standard Cerberus issue?

And anyone ever knock a phantom on her ass only for her to fly herself back on her feet with boot and palm thrusters? Why aren't the phantoms ninja Iron Men..er Women?

On second thought, maybe it's better this way.

Hmm. Interesting question. Might've stuck with Ashley. Or, given her subsequent ****ing, maybe ditched her and gone for Tali. Or retcon to Liara.

Now that I think about it, I really can't imagine not having Miranda to romance. Now if Kasumi were an LI instead...:bandit:

She's too busy with her cyber ****-budy. But in Synthesis, she can actually chill with him!

I agree, if Miranda weren't in the game, I'd probably go for Kasumi if she were an option. But since she's not...I might have stuck with Ashley because Tali, Jack and Liara aren't even that appealing either. It would certainly be tough. I don't even like Ashley because of the reason Crutch mentioned...

I think you underestimate Synthesis. This means all memories of people stored have come back.

This is what Ieldra is doing. His Shepard will be coming back. Cyrus is his name. He has several but Cyrus is the only one he ever talks about.

I only have Thomas.

It's certainly a crazy relationship. Miranda states as much.

There's a saying about that somewhere. Lot's of sayings.

I gave up on Synthesis. It's as good as a deleted scene in a film to me. It's there but it will never be a part of the story I wanted told.

If Miranda wen't in the game I'd probably romance Jack or just do the unrequited romance with Samara. I romanced Ash in ME1 and really liked her character in that game but having her call Shepard a traitor on Horizon, her dogged mistrust of him at the start of ME3, and the general lack of meaningful interaction with her on the Normandy destroys her appeal for me.

A monomolecular edge is absurdly hard to reliably maintain. The Omni-Blade functions by flash-forging a monomolecular wire that's suspended in a mass effect field in a manner similar to the monomolecular blades in Larry Niven's Known Space novels or the Dragon's Tooth sword in Deus Ex.

If you wanted to make a conventional sword similar to what Kai Leng and the Phantoms use you'd need to use a material like obsidian or high-perfomance ceramic. Such a weapon would require constant honing (most likely handled by systems located in a sheath) and would be very fragile if anywhere other than the edge came in contact with an opponent.

Very true. However in terms of what we expect from fiction, it's just not how an Absurdly Sharp Blade should work. The Shadow and Slayer play it straight.

Yeah but I seem to recall my Shepard having a grapple moment with Kai Leng. They locked sword and...Omniblade. I know you can do this. Anyone else do this in the fight? You have to mash the melee button to knock him back.

Before he you know...destroys the floor panels and starts bragging.

"SHUT UP!"

Yep!  My Shepard had that moment.  Agreed again with my Shepard breaking Kai Leng's sword and slicing him with the omniblade.  Take that you son-of-****!

I always laugh at Kai Leng when Shepard taunts right back!  Beautiful!
