The only way we'll ever get more Miranda (or more any character, for that matter) is to fire Mac Walters. Problem solved. It's that simple, really.

How does firing someone get us more Miranda?  All it does is leave ME without a writer.

You're missing a huge step in there, and then making a huge assumption (the new writer would want to write Miranda) just to spew venom...

20 bucks says that if Mac Walters were to write another DLC storyline, it'd involve Shepard having babies with Liara. And 10 says that another DLC makes Liara the galaxy's only salvation through a Starbaby.

not sure if i would prefer that to synthesis or not<_<

@Taboo-XX

In this climate?

I'd take that action.

We got Liara DLC in ME2 because she wasn't a squaddie.

Liara content (videogame) is topped out now (except for additional dialogue in normal missions) and even Mac Walters knows it.

He's not that retarded people.

I never understood what is quite possibly the biggest logic flaw in ME3s countless web of logic flaws: Why in hell did NOBODY ever think to even ask Miranda where Cronos Station is? Sure, you can argue that TIM would be long gone, but a place to start is better than poking around with a stick hoping for the best.

I was okay with Liara DLC in ME2 because in all fairness, she was kicked aside. But in Mass Effect 3...Jesus.  Bleargh.

Mac isn't that retarded, but the thing is, he don't give a damn.

TIM moves the station whenever someone comes aboard. Try finding a kilometer long object in an entire Galaxy based only on the last known location.
Good luck with that.

My Shep did!

Shep: where's Cronos station!
Miranda: My sister is missing!
Shep: Okay, but like, it'll take you 10 seconds...
Miranda: OMG ORI!!!!! (weeps, puts on Tori Amos, starts cutting...)

But I have to ask. Is it seriously that big of a deal? I mean just how bad is this problem? I don't see it as a very big one.

He added exposition in a falling action. That is retarded.

And yet, he was right where we left him in ME2. Hmm.

Don't people here play the game for things other than Romance?

I mean I could really care less that Miranda is only thinking about her man and her sister because there are far more important things going on.

Like, you know, the war.

What he was trying to do was add a twist. But this was never an intrigue plot. Sure there were undertones of mystery regarding the Reapers, but it was never the MAIN theme. Thus his twist regarding synthetic vs.organic & the true nature of the Reapers was simply out of place.

Also, TIM does NOT move Cronos station every time somebody comes aboard. It's the same sun in the background in ME2 and ME3.

That's a projection. The sun in the base I mean.

I'm gonna be candid.

As much as I defend the current version of the game as fun, the ending takes a little steam out of the war narrative for me.  I mean, I enjoy winning, but it's the characters that make it worthwhile.  The war itself feels like less of an accomplishment than saving Ash/Garrus/Miri/Etc...

That's because it's art. ART DAMN YOU.

Miranda is only a part of the story. She isn't the story. I can deal with hiccups here and there.

And Miranda should be concerned about the war as well. That her only preocupations are her sister and her boyfriend is a mutilation of her character and it is entirely unrelated to her romance.
This is the Miranda fan thread. If I want to complain about other aspects of the game, I do it somewhere else.

But we don't win a war taboo. We fight one all game, and then it mutates into something else at the end.

It's such a disconnect. I only enjoy it because of the characters I've saved. If it was like Skyrim(meaningless characters), I'd put it next to my Ultimate Alliance 2 game that I only played once and let it gather dust...

The sun is similar, that doesn't mean it is the same system.
And even if it was, you are confronted with the same dillema. If TIM simply moved Cronos to a different place, inside the same system, it would still be almost impossible to find unless you know the exact coordinates.
The game fails to convey this properly but a single system is still an enormous amount of space.

I don't like it either but it doesn't cause me mental anguish when I think about it either.

I'm stating that it isn't the end of the world. The portrayal blows but it isn't the Plague. You can't ignore it or something?

I don't think the writers ever clarified whether that's a projection or an actual sun. The games seem to suggest it's real...except it can change colour at the end of ME2, whereas I recall someone mentioning that one of books referred to it as a projection.

There's the possibility that Miranda was always escorted there blind though?

I don't anguish all day in my room thinking about it. But it still decreases my enjoyment of the game immensely and I'll properly explain our grievances with it on the forums in hope that it might be fixed somehow.
Ignoring a problem doesn't make it go away.

It's precisely because I do care about things other than romance that I find Miranda's arc objectionable. The romance is nice as far as it goes. But I want to see the woman willing to fight and die for all humanity. The woman spoiling for a challenge, who deeply cares about things. Not the woman so myopic I wonder if she's mentally ill. ME2 Miranda is an abrasive jerk. ME3 Miranda doesn't pass muster as a decent human being.

I love grousing as much as the next guy but in the grand scheme of things Miranda being aloof isn't on my **** list.

I only really lost two characters over the course of the game, Thane and Mordin.

I know everything and everyone else is going to be all right by looking at the slides in the EC. And that goes for all of the endings. (Except Refuse lol).

Well, I agree with that.  I was just telling you why the characters are so important to me.  Their relationships and fate are the driving narrative that I enjoy, not so much the "war".

Well, understandably, characters are your way into the story, even if you are supposed to be Shepard.
