Even the game as currently written doesn't believe this, since Miranda's content does have a Cerberus element. It's just written and implemented in such a way that the issues involved aren't really grappled with at all.

But anyway: Miranda contributed to the organisation in a significant way, had a certain idea of what it should be, and is partly responsable for what it's doing in ME3, regardless of the fact that she quit. Moreso than other characters.

Secondly, Miranda's relationship with Cerberus has never seen a source on conflict the way Mordin's relationship with the genophage has been. She confronts the Illusive Man at the end of ME 2 if you bring her along and she quits. What more is there to say? A big complaint with Miranda in ME 3 is that she was focuses on problems that were believed to be resolved in ME 2 - her sister, and her regret for being ruthless. How is this any better?

Really because TIM seems to have taken the organisation and spirit of Cerberus and twisted it utterly in ME3. Is that not a conflict that she should get to confront him about. Get a chance to get closure on a huge part of her life like Mordin gets to have closure on the piece of work that has affected his life hugely. And don't get me started on those absolutely atrocious Lazarus portions in ME3.

Here’s an alternative hypothesis: Miranda doesn’t ‘confront’ Cerberus because it’s not something apart. They haven’t changed, not really. She has, a little, but she knows she was there too, right with them. Their beliefs were hers, their methods hers. She wants to avoid the past, to ignore it, to be apart. So she flees into the one thing that is apart.


(Actually, it’s really just crappy writing, but I still like my idea better than Cerberus Petting Zoo & Animal Hospital.)

People here seem awfully sure that having Miranda on the Cronos mission would have been great...why, exactly? What exactly is she going to add to it? Liara was great in LotSB because of the character and story developments that came with it. And her. The mission was about her. But...what is Miranda supposed to do to make the mission any different? Cerberus is finished. The station is being pounded by Alliance guns and probably falling apart.

And to be honest, the problem extends beyond that. Everyone here wants more Miranda. That's great. I approve. But I haven't seen anything better than "Miranda guns down Cerberus."

It would be the only Cerberus-related thing Miranda purposely does in the entirety of the game. No, Sanctuary doesn't count.

Samara is present at the Ardat-Yakshi Monastery. Grunt is present with the krogan, so why is Miranda suddenly devoid of an entire half of her character arc?
