In the interest of fairness, the game never actually implies Miranda slept with TIM or Niket.

There is no evidence that Miranda slept with TIM. That's 100% invention. Jacob, of course, is canon, and I find it very plausible that she had something with Niket as well, even though it isn't mentioned in the game. I also find it highly implausible that she didn't have other affairs in the past, given how she's presented. Miranda is not, and has never been, a celibate.

Parts of the dossier though, that was another Miranda Lawson. Miranda is not stupid.

After playing ME2 and ME3, I had a hunch that TIM and Miranda had slept together before, but I didn't have any concrete evidence to back it up. However, I'd rather give Ghost1017 the benefit of the doubt unless anyone has something solid to suggest that they didn't.

More importantly, however, I'd like to hear more about this "two Mirandas" theory, since all of the dossier seemed within the bounds of credulity to me. (If that's been discussed to death before, I apologize - as I said before, I don't visit character threads that often).

I don't believe she slept with TIM or Niket. I agree though that she has obviously had various trysts in the past.

Miranda isn't in any way reduced by having slept with Niket. Saying that she might have means she's had a healthy sex life as opposed to the one you fundamentalists want to force on her. It's a sign of appreciation, not of hate.

I don't think TIM was ever a serious consideration. It just doesn't fit. But Niket? Sounds natural to me.

Because we're not operating off evidence that she did.  There is LITERALLY no evidence she's slept with him, he's just a friend she values.

I'm not complaining about people thinking she slept with jacob, because she probably did.  What I'm reacting to is the idea that "oh, miranda carez about that man, she totally f*cked him!  Cuz that's what ****z do, yo!"

It's the idea that anyone a woman has had a close or working relationship with, she's slept with.

It's ****ing offensive.

As I said, I'm not insisting that Miranda slept with Niket. I only said I find it plausible that she might have. He was her only friend when she was living with her father, at an age of....what...16 or so? Connect the dots. If in your backstory, she didn't, that's ok with me, but don't try to sell me on that crap of "hating women" just because I think it's plausible that she did.

I agree about TIM. That assumption is spurious.

Well, okay. Let's imagine a woman with a healthy sexual desire/history. If you assumed that she slept with, or even openly wondered if she did, some guy she was friends with, would she be okay with it, or be insulted?

If we had a reason to believe that she slept with Niket or TIM, I wouldn't mind (I don't mind Jacob), but when douches like ghost troll with that stuff, because he hates women, I find it offensive.

Miranda can have slept with whoever, it doesn't mean she slept with her friends or boss.

In RL, I wouldn't ask, nor would it matter. It's private and not my business. But I can tell you from experience that such things happen, and that they don't destroy the friendship or turn it into a relationship. Not unless someone has a stick up their ass about such things.

Re: Niket. I always imagined there was some incredibly awkward kissing/making out that never progressed to sex. TIM, I think, is her type, but I think they had to make a choice a very long time ago not to act on any attraction to preserve the working relationship. She's had lots of recreational sex, interspersed with more serious relationships like Jacob and Shepard. My Shep is based on Tony Stark, so any displeasure at her history would be highly hypocritical.
