Strictly spoken she says she wished Oriana to have that. Since "things I could never have" is completely implausible (see the debates about the infertility and a possible cure) I ignore that part. Bah, the writers should remember that they're in a sci-fi universe. Undead in space, vitalism, Miranda's infertility, Shepard's sacrifice in Synthesis etc. etc. etc. Sometimes I feel like they just transferred a gazillion fantasy tropes into space and called it sci-fi.
You made the mistake of thinking about it. Just use your gut
To quote the great Stephen Colbert:
That's where the truth lies, right down here in the gut. Do you know you have more nerve endings in your gut than you have in your head? You can look it up.
Now, I know some of you are going to say: "I did look it up, and that's not true." That's because you looked it up in a book. Next time, look it up in your gut. I did. My gut tells me that's how our nervous system works.

That is completely ridiculous. A character says one line about not being able to have things and we're going "LOLZ IT ISNT SCI-FI!!!!" Maybe you should consider the idea that it isn't a physical problem? You walk certain roads in life, you give up things. That's really the end of it.

I seem to hear that a lot from you. I read it.
He's referring to a great number of things that aren't scientific. Especially certain aspects of Synthesis.

What he was doing was implying that Miranda's infertility was the reason for her speaking about "things she could never have" when I highly doubt they have anything to do with each other. Not least of which because the Shadow Broker dossier was released many months later.
Her role was written afterword. Someone here can give you a correct date if you're curious. You're making a big deal out of nothing.

A lot of these discussions have been going on for a while now, in some detail.
I'd be happy to consider your views, but on the whole you're not really striking an appropriate tone for conversation. So, for the moment anyway, I don't think responding to your points in any detail would be a worthwhile activity.

I don't like Synthesis one bit, and I would scrap in it a heartbeat. But Mass Effect is far, far better than almost anything out there. Even 'realistic' stories like Breaking Bad have things that wouldn't work in real life.

Warden -> Morrigan
Hawke -> Isabela
Shepard -> Miranda
Coincidentally, those 3 NPC's are also 3 of my favorite video game characters.
+10 points to you.
I love them.
