We have a few good ones that have names.

"The Nurse Outfit" being very popular.

So is this.

Bah. I won't fall prey to delusions just because some second-rate writer expects me to. The "truth of the gut" was what lead to fascism. classical Romanticism is nice for inspiring art, but if you're looking for truth, look elsewhere.

Stephen Colbert is an american satirist Image IPB

What he means is "the truth of the gut is a lie, often a deliberately fabricated one."

It's part of a speech that has a certain political context. That's probably not worth getting into here.

Nice way to reveal my ignorance, eh? Maybe I should've looked him up on Wikipedia first. Well, you can't know everything.

BTW, what's going on? This thread is on steroids...

Before I say anything, I'm interested to hear why you all think the codex entry for the blackstar is so bad.

The point of all this is that despite Synthesis and several other issues, some of which might even be necessary or unknown to the majority of players, Mass Effect is still 'harder' than the vast majority of science fiction out there. And that's not just modern stories. Asimov and Clarke made their share of mistakes too.

Only if you take TV shows and movies as your measuring stick. I'm more used to written SF, and writers of books are usually much more willing to at least stick to their own lore and maintain a consistent universe instead of dropping it at a whim for the sake of on-screen drama.

There's no reason in particular that you should know him, especially since you are not american (at least as I recall?).

You would probably have enjoyed...

. Because it is fancy science talk that is supposed to make the gun seem awesome.  In reality the codex description is not only nonsensical but impossible

Yeah, I guessed that by everyone saying so. I'm interested in hearing why, exactly, you think the science is impossible. Just to compare and contrast.

I know what the entry says. I have my own opinion of it. I'm interested in hearing all of yours. You're all saying it's stupid and impossible, surely you can tell me why?

Well, I never said it's impossible, it's just pants-on-head retarded and an obvious attempt to appear smarter than one really is. It's Star Trek levels of technobabble.

funny

because you know, black holes suck ( for lack of a better word ) everything in, including light ,so light cannot escape it, hence "black" hole

but suppose that was your point, just wanted to say it in case

Tearing apart atomic nuclei does not cause fusion or fission. It is fission that is it, no fusion occurs, also the energy required to do would turn the shooter, target etc... Within a several mile radius to be vaporized

Hmm....just read the entry about the Blackstar. I'll come back to it later, it's 2am where I live. Only so much now: the thing could be made to appear theoretically feasible in principle, but they ruined the explanation by giving too much detail, because some of those details are bullsh*t.

I'd almost forgotten how much fun sheer, wanton cruelty could be. All my Shep needs now is a cape to swish. Should I let Miranda survive my evil!Shep playthrough or let her die too since she's the only possible threat to my tyrannical reign?

How is that possible for me? I blew that Base to hell, along with the Collectors.
