I see. Well, I guess I'll pick all of them up.

I am also in quite a chipper mood tonight. Not many things could get me down, dawg!

I've been in a good mood most of the day too. Especially after learning about our metagaming moment earlier this morning.

If only we had more hugs...

I love that picture! Three strong ladies!

Don't Look Now is terrifying because it ****s with your head so badly you are literally at a loss for words.

I'm too straight headed to lose it for that kind of stuff. Mind games don't work on me. I'm too self-assured. External threats are a lot scarier than internal threats, unless you yourself are the threat.

Because none of these complaints pack any punch. The chemical changes are a side effect, not the primary means of inducing damage.

The codex entry literally says "...thus changing the chemical composition of the target. It destroys organic tissue, corrodes surviving armor, and leaves a visible trail of light-emitting particles."

I think it's strange how light-emitting particles are visible when the codex entry also says that it fires mini black holes.

And just because chemical changes in cooking are harmless doesn't mean other chemical reactions aren't incredibly dangerous. There is indeed a threshold, and even if their wasn't, I'm not sure how that would matter.

Then what in the entire f**k could it possibly be doing? It's initiating both fusion and fission reactions at the same time, as well as fires apparently not-so-black black holes. If there isn't a defined threshold, the the words are meaningless. "Heavy" just means heavy. "Light" just means light. There's no measure of what "heavy" is or what "light" is because that information is omitted.

Don't Look Now is all of those things. The threat is internal as well as external.

And sometimes we realize it all too late...

Miranda hugs Shepard in one dialouge option when you select the bottom option when she asks you to promise her not to die.

I was like "Srs?".

Needs to be linked to the "The More You Know" video, tbh.

First of all, the light would only not be visible if it was 'caught' in the event horizon of the black hole. Needless to say, the event horizon would probably be small to the point of being on the atomic scale. So that's a non-issue.

Secondly, I'm not exactly sure what you mean on the second part...'heavy' and 'light' still have meaning even if they aren't defined. In physics, you talk about stuff being "very far away" and "very close" literally every day. Anyone who asks "Well, how close is close?" gets a slap in the face.

Don't Look Now also has one of the best examples of cross cut editing I've ever seen. We studied it in film school.

Strange that it was a sex scene though.

I didn't find the hug scene until a few months ago. I was always worried about it as well.

I mean the things that frighten me are the big ass invasions by hostile aliens hellbent on wiping us out.

I looked up the film. I hate to say this Taboo, but I'd probably laugh at all the weird ****.

I did add something. A Mark Twain quote. That's enough for me, tbh.

Oh it is weird. It was directed by Nicolas Roeg. The next film he made was The Man Who Fell to Earth with David Bowie.

And then came Bad Timing...with Art Garfunkel. Dear Lord.

Do you understand the problem with calling something "real scientific stupid" when you don't understand how it works?

I just did my best to explain a bit of science. That's something you have to deal with when you talk about science...people critique it. So...if you're unwilling to deal with that...you probably shouldn't call things "real scientific stupid."

The particles would be emitted from wherever the warhead detonated. Even if they were travelling at light speed the black hole formed from the shot would pull in the particles.

... And? I get that Bioware isn't trying to make ME into the hardest of science fiction, but making a basic semblence of sense isn't asking for too much.

You keep on telling me "no, you're wrong" or "no, you don't understand", but you haven't explained why so far.
