Here's my personal version of Destroy.

Shepard is blinded and loses the use of one arm. He's in bad enough shape that he has to clarify he wants Miranda at his side as his wife, not his doctor. Both crying, she accepts the proposal. The ceremony is secret and low-key. Over time, he regains his sight and limited use of his arm. They are happy in a restrained, measured way.

Eh, on second thought, it works better with a shipboard LI. I stole the whole thing from Jane Eyre, so the LI knowing Shep's alive fits better.

I'm not getting angry about that. I am sick and tired of people having a problem with me of all people on this Thread. It feels like some people here think they have all the power in the world to treat people in a lower fashion the they do others, as if I am a troll.

1) You don't know me well enough (STILL) to conclude who I am.

2) You have never seen me in real life, which reflects #1

3) It's sad, because some people believe it's far easier to judge in such a way instead of seeing the big picture.
