I would get upset that it meant Shep is in fact supposed to die, but Synthesis was my original preference in the first place. 

I'd be more upset about Liara being named canon LI.

Wonder whom the new protagonist will be. I just hope it doesn't take place during the Prothean cycle. Nothing like playing a game where all your efforts are doomed to fail.

I like to think that a bit of Shepard lives on in the races of the galaxy. He did after all bring peace and understanding between synthetics and organics.  And Miranda can look at the new galaxy and remember the man she loved rather than cry for the man she misses, yes?

. If there is a ME4, a canon ending will almost certainly will have to be made.  Unless they are willing to make 3 separate games (which would be fine, impractical and extremely unlikely, but fine). A canon ending will have to be established

I don't think it will be in the future. They will probably make a precursor. Perhaps the story of John Grissom? But I don't think they would do a cannon ending. It just doesn't make sense to poor salt on an open wound from their standpoint. That would ****** off even the people who like the ending as is.

I was talking about synthesis, and how annoying I find people who have Shepard returning in synthesis (or control).  He's dead.  You made your choice, live with it.

I am a well-documented fan of High EMS destroy.

Nope, the VI flat out says shepard is dead.  The VI makes it clear that it's based on, but distinct from, Shep.
