They actually had a low flying plane go over a turkey farm here once and turkeys fell over dead from the shock.

They had to send a squad to investigate...mass turkey death.

Well one time a snake got into a turkey coop right? They all backed into once corner in an attempt to avoid the snake. They crowded so much they suffocated the other turkeys in the back.

As to your other points, those are actual nerfs to the endings, ways to **** on one so the other doesn't get left out. Because "art". Peope ignore them, not because they themselves are irrational, but rather because the combined ranches of Montana carry less bull**** than these so called "consequences" do.

(I know you're not actually pushing these views, but I felt compelled to comment anyway).

I don't want to get into a whole endings discussion but, essentially, these are mental 'workarounds' that go against the intent of BioWare. This can apply to many areas outside of the endings.

I'm not saying that you have to accept them (because some really do stretch credulity), it's just that we all tend to cherry-pick which bits we like to acknowledge, and that will vary from person to person.

That isn't true. It isn't necessary to ignore it, anymore than Miranda ignores it within the context of the game. It's just necessary to accept that what we know about Cerberus based on ME1 isn't the whole story.

And we *know* that it isn't the whole story, since what we find out about Cerberus in 2 (and also 3) doesn't fit the ME1 profile.

You just have to let go of a certain type of simplistic thinking that wants to see only two possibilities everywhere. "Ignore" and "reconcile" aren't the only two options. One can just recognize that the portrayal of the organisation evolved over time, more than once.

About ignoring, canon especially re: the endings. I think you have to distinguish between refusing to acknowledge something as true and modifying it when engaged in creative endeavors. When debating I'll treat Shep as dead in C/S. When I'm writing or otherwise spinning a story, I feel more justified using gaps to go against authorial intent.

Oh, of course, I know you make that distinction. I was speaking generally in terms of what I have seen among others in the Story & Campaign discussions.
