Cerberus has a disadvantage. Miri knows everything about Cerberus that she can give to the Alliance, or Just Shepard, in order to bring Cerberus' downfall.

She knows a lot of things, because she was a high rank officier, but not everything. Don't forget how Cerberus works : the cells are independent, and one cell can know what an another cell do only through TIM.

About Oriana: I don't want another mission about this. And if Liara is still the SB, she could easily aske her to hide Oriana, without asking Shepard and make us do the same mission of ME2.

Yes. NOT MORE ORIANA as a plot hook for Miranda in ME3, unless they do something really interesting with her, like upgrading her from a victim to someone more active.

And you are right Yann. I do not want Miri to be around for just the Cerberus conflict only. She is a much greater asset than that. Not to mention our LI.

Why she would not be arrested ? She could make a deal with the Alliance. She has many useful informations on Cerberus, and this would make more reasons for TIM to turn against Shepard and his team.

The Alliance is not going to let a former Cerberus agent roam free, not matter how much information she gives them. At best she will be put in a witness protections program. But eventually, one of Cerberus' agents inside the Alliance would get to her. Paul Grayson said as much at the end of "Ascension". Altough, of course, warring with the Reapers could change a few things.

Yes, I don't think Miranda would be left alone by the Alliance. Not before the Reapers attack. After that, anything can happen.

And I'm very much OK with her not being present at the start of the game. As long as she's going to be present for most of the game after that. No LotSB-like temp team member nor a Legion-like latecomer please.

@101
May I remind you that Mass Effect is not a dating sim :P We're not here to write a love story, but to win a war. If love comes along, that's all for the best, but the story is not primarily about it.

I agree with this.
I'm still pissed for what they did with Legion in ME2, especially because it's, with Miranda and Mordin, my favourite ME2 squadmate.

And if Oriana is living in the Termynus Sistems, the Alliance couldn't protect her.

Considering what she knows, I doubt the Alliance will be reluctant. She's also the Lazarus project director and she is one of the person who knows the SR2 the most. I don't think the Alliance would refuse that someone like Miranda works for them.
Maybe she will be guarded and monitored by the Alliance first, but when the reapers will say "hello !", I doubt the Alliance will care about her former Cerberus agent status.

As said before. Miri may have relocated Oriana and her family between ME2 and ME3. She may have been able to block Cerberus from tracking her down. And since she worked with Cerberus for many years, she has the advantage to evade them, and keep Oriana safe.

Miri could be there at the beginning. We won't know for sure.

As much as I like the idea, I really, really doubt that this would happen. She can't stay on the SR-2 at the start of ME3. The Alliance would arrest her (and I don't think that it's possible for her to join the Alliance).

Why she would not be arrested ? She could make a deal with the Alliance. She has many useful informations on Cerberus, and this would make more reasons for TIM to turn against Shepard and his team.

You're right, a deal seems reasonable. The Alliance needs information about Cerberus (especially if they're working with the Reapers).
It's an interesting an reasonable theory, but I prefer to don't be too optimistic. It would be a great surprise if she's with us from the start. And Miranda working in some way with the Alliance enters perfectly in the definition of "big spoiler".

Oh but I'm not optimistic ... or I would have pre ordered ME3 by now. It's just a theory to show that Miranda could be present at the begining of the game.
No, I'm waiting for good news about Miranda, anxiously

We should be rewarded, especially since Miri is our only LI.

Understood. I'm going to preorder soon, after I decided what games I'm going to buy this fall. Thankfully for my
wallet the Xbox version of TW2 will come in 2012, so I have time to earn some money.
I'm going to preorder it regardless Miranda's news (and sadly I don't think we're going to have news about her soon), because I love this franchise so much to not play the end personally. Though I'lll be disappointed if Miranda will have a LOTSB treatment in ME3.

She's your only LI. I have playthroughs with Ashley and Jack romanced, and I'm going to do a female Shepard with Kaidan romanced. No playthroughs of romance in both ME and ME2 though. I don't like the idea of conflict between LI too much.
Miranda is my favourite LI, and my favourite squadmate between all the LI, males and females, though.

Yeah! Miri is. I'm a Pure 100% Mirimancer/Mirimaniac.

What made me Love Miri? EVERYTHING!!!! :D

She is Beautiful, Intelligent, Strong, Ccompetent, And Much More!!!! :D

Miri is My One And Only LI was as so:

I played ME2 first. I believe that Miri was one of the Main reasons why I wanted to play ME.

When I saw a glimpse of her in a TV Spot, I got very interested. I saw the Prologue with her. I got hooked. When I found out that you can have a romantic relationship in ME2, and With her, I said to myself that "she is my Romance," or something like that. I Loved Miri ever since. I played me1 later. I Stayed Loyal to Miri. I still am.

I'll be holding onto my cash until I hear something worth while about Miranda. I tried to start a romance with Ashley, couldn't do it and made Miranda basically my only LI for all my playthroughs. So a game where she gets a "Legion treatment" or even less is not a game I will particularly enjoy..

I love this franchise too, but I wouldn't mind ending it with ME2, if Miranda doesn't have a significant screen time in ME3.
I don't play games I know I won't enjoy. And know I won't enjoy ME3, as good the game will be, without Miranda.
I already pre ordered SWTOR, TES V Skyrim is on my list too, but for ME3 : I'm still waiting.

I'd like to purchase SWTOR, but sadly I don't have the money for a monthly canon, and I don't have a good enough computer. SKYRIM is the most probably purchase I'll do on fall, but since I'm playing on console, I can't mod it to fix the (almost certain, with Bethesda) great quantity of bugs/glitches the game will have. But I'm really interested about it. I just love dragons.:)

I hope you're prepared for Miranda getting less screen-time then ME2...there isn't any way Miranda will get equal/more screen time. Keep in mind that Miranda was in ME2 like 90% of the time. And this time, she won't be in the "trinity squad" (i.e. Kaidan/Shep/Ash, Miranda/Shep/Jacob, Carth/Revan/Bastila, Alistair/Warden/Morrigan...get my drift?) I'm not saying that she won't be recruitable or anything like that - it's just highly unlikely she'll be around after every major mission like she was in ME2.

Unless Bioware does something great (I almost used the word awesome then I remembered awesome button...) and makes her recruitable from the get go on your first mission and the post-mission debrief scenes consist of the entire crew where she is herself and very vocal ala Ash in ME1. But even then, she would lose about 10% of her screen time being missing from the Earth/Trial sequence.

I'm not expecting to have her from the begining to the end of the game. But I want more than a cameo or a tempoary squadmates for few missions.

But considering what the devs said, I don't think that any of the characters will be present during all the game like Miranda or Jacob in ME2. Even characters like Liara, VS and Vega.
There will be characters who will join and leave during the game, and I just hope Miranda will remain on the Normandy for a long period.

I don't mind her having less screentime. It just means more time for her to do things on her her own.

So a serious question for the Miranda fans:

At the end of Miranda's storyline, she has the option to continue a project that would be helpful in the long run in defeating the Reapers. You are faced with two options:

1. Let Miranda take over the project but she leaves your squad and Shepard having confidence in Miranda's abilities secures her as a love interest.
2. Keep Miranda on the Normandy without the project and essentially lose her as a love interest since she feels that Shep is trying to control her like her father but retain her squad membership.

What do you do?

Option 1 easy and she's not even my LI because option 1 is what I've been rooting for since the beginning.
