Guys, guys, I just got to ME2 on my shiny new computer with my Miranda-romancing playthrough. I AM SO EXCITED.

Though she and my ManShep really get off on the wrong foot. He's such a brat for the first few missions of ME2.

Brings back good memories

Nice to hear it. Perhaps you can now use some of those beautiful high-res mods.

Do you take the "Are you naturally this ****y?" line?

You know, given Miranda's background "Are you naturally this ****y, or is it just me?" is kind of funny.

Yep exactly this. The limitations of her reduced role have no bearing on the complete absence of this. It is clear someone's sole interest was in using Miranda as tragic tear fodder and hence her one sided, chock full of filler content. That e-mail gives me a lifebelt to hang onto but doesn't stop me from being annoyed at the lack of some of the basic content that should be in Miranda's role.

You can't prove any of that. I'm more inclined to believe in this instance that people don't like the other half and are reacting accordingly. Going back and looking at some of the reactions from a few years ago I'm more inclined to believe it. Some of the reactions to the dossiers are downright disturbing.

The irony against said people however is downright hilarious.

Both sides to be represented but only one is constantly bemoaned by certain people here.

I certainly do like the other half and i certainly enjoy the romance material. Her caring about Oriana is fine and understandable, even her wanting a kid in of itself is fine. I just find a completely onesided portrayal in ME3 comical considering the circumstances. Omega is a great opportunity for them to rectify this imbalance, expanding and visualising the Cerberus renegades concept by having her there to recruit Petrovsky.

What's really funny about it is how Shepard thanks her for Lazarus and she responds in kinds and switches so quickly.

Passive Agressive to the max.

It's hilarious.

Tweeted Weekes asking about Miranda appearing in Omega DLC. Doubt i'll get any response but lifted my frustration temporarily somewhat.

Omega? Nonsense.

Who wants to take bets on it being related to the endings? I'm waiting for it to be entirely innocuous.

Just popped in to say that I only just realised there is a Reaper photobombing the Synthesis slide.

Also, Miranda would get all her money from an electronics megastore she purchased many years ago, which also acts as a front for a secret base.

Well, if it was a prothean crucible, it's pretty clear why it failed.  Construction on it didn't begin till like 40 thousand years after the reapers had finished harvesting the protheans.

Terrible timing by them.  Just terrible.

I thought the empty bank accounts and pornography left for the Alliance was more amusing.

That wasn't OOC. :(

Your joke sucked because Taboo didn't like it.

How is it? Better than the first?

I was playing the RE 6 demo earlier and it looks intriguing. Might pick up this big Collectors Edition they're doing for it. It contains 1-5 as a bonus.

Meh.......never liked the recent resident evils.

The 1 to 4 where great (and freaking scary), but the fifth was really bad. And from the trailers of the 6th, it looks way to actiony

You mean the money the alliance seized?  Because that's what happens when terrorists are caught/killed.  Their estates are seized.  Miranda would have no claim on it.

Do you know how many ****s Miranda would give about that? My Shepard wouldn't. Take the money. Use it for good.

THAT IS IN CHARACTER.

FOR THE BOTH OF THEM.

Okay, but the problem remains.  How are they paying for everything?  Starbases are a **** to heat, out there in the cold of space and all...

How are they buying the starbase that you haven't named yet (that I'm aware of).

I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm just suprised a solid answer to this hasn't been thought up yet.

Personally, I'd see them raising money by contracting with various governments (mostly the alliance).  Kind of a space defense crontractor, but different...

Not exactly a defense contractor. Rather more a scientific think tank who does R&D work in areas governments don't want to publicize. I think they'd need front businesses as well. And private supporters, but those can be fickle. I think they need various and eclectic sources of income to maintain their independence as a group.

Hmmm. Maybe they could lure Sam away from the Alliance to help in that department. It would be almost like having another Miranda in terms of intelligence.

Yeah, I'm liking it so far, even solo.

Much more varied and interesting enemies, more dynamic fights. I am being a snipey guy as a contrast to my usual aggressive ME playstyle and it's working OK. Lots of scope for finding vantage points and shooting a few people before closing in. Just got a gun called a Bowie Widowmaker too, and it seems a pretty awesome revolver with a blade on the front.

I would assume it's called a Bowie because of the knife not because of David.

Lots of things coming out...
