The base concept could be similar to that. However you have to factor in what the council will say about it.

I suppose is Shepard was there they might feel a bit better about it. And Miranda would keep him in check.

Who cares what the Council says? They give the Spectres free reign. Whether or not they approve or disapprove, they can't do anything unless the Spectre-in-question is on Saren's level of inhumanity.

Given their ineptitude until Shepard saves them TWICE I wouldn't put anything past them.

While forming a new organization is the most likely outcome, I can actually see Miranda acting as a Spectre. The bureaucracy isn't all that egregious, really.

I could see it...

Still, they can't actually do anything at all without compelling evidence. Rather, what they consider to be "compelling".

They'll want him killed, then will throw a massive state funeral for him if they do kill him.

After he all but single-handedly saved the galaxy?

I know the Council is clinically retarded, but I doubt they're that stupid.

I'd like to think they'd throw him a bone. Shepard and Miranda will temper the other out. **** won't get too crazy.

. I think it's more likely they but him a massive estate somewhere quiet and peaceful and hope he just retires

Of course, Shepard always has Admiral Ahern's retirement home on Intai'sei.

They'll want to work. I don't see Shepard and Miranda retiring to some house of planet whatever.

Of course they might take a vacation. She could be convinced to do so.

I know that my Shepard plans to retire some time. He isn't one of those people who are lifelong into their career.

I was actually thinking of a wing of Phoenix that is a reference to this thread. I simply haven't figured out what the acronym means yet.

I'll let you know when I'm certain.

Dawg they can still fly about in the (stolen) Normandy and right wrongs and ****.

You didn't think that Shepard and Miranda would be stuck behind a desk pushing pencils right?

. My Shepard could sit on a beach for while after the reapers are destroyed.  Miranda also needs to keep a low profile for a bit.

The Normandy will need a new paint job though. And remodeling.

And a new crew. And an even more badass Captains Quarters as two people will be staying there now.

I read this as "sit and screwing on a beach".

That doesn't sound so bad.

If it makes you feel better I read the same thing.

That was actually a joke between us before the release of the EC...

My Shepard's plans require the old council to either be expanded, or destroyed.

Everyone gets a saying now.

Shepard isn't looking out for anyone in particular anymore. Even Earth.

He has what he wants (Miranda and the Normandy). If the galaxy wants his help, they better accept what he gives.
