Pretty much.
He's not suited to be ME's main writer. His style just doesn't work when you're the head writer. He's terrible at writing for emotion. In context (the beginning) it looks bad in the story.
And he puts way to much emphasis on mon calamari over here.
Shepard and all the humans lose Earth. Garrus loses Palaven. Javik has lost everything.
Yet everyone has to be sad for Liara because her world was lost. She just needs to learn to get used to death.
It happens. Those left gotta keep fighting.

Oh look its wannabe Ash.
Actually it's the other way around. Ash is the wannabe Miranda, especially in ME3. A Biotic and Tech Specialist with Military Combat Training is greater than a mere soldier who reads poetry.
Too bad Miri has no *breath* experience because she's *breath* too busy banging everyone.

The exact reason people dislike it varies between individuals, but I honestly haven't seen anyone who said that it's good.Steelcan wrote...

Reading through the content of the other characters, I even get the vibe that it was written by someone who didn't like her: Thane has hope for a cure, females dream about Jacob's workout, Jack writes poetry... and Miranda has sex with a random guy, is infertile, and cancels a scientific maganzine for fashion.

I've always said Liara was an annoying whelp. The Thessia mission made me hate Liara. But Javik is kind of a douche, not much sympathy for him. He's an awesome squadmate but he's not a sympathetic guy
Funny, Javik is the only suqdmate I can tolerate in ME3.

The only interesting squadmate from ME3 tbh. And he's the only with enough guts to question Shepard's decisions.

James-Right after you leave Earth, shuttle bay, etc.
Mordin-Alot in ME2 and ME3 even the writer said it.

He has it right. In a war such as this, you can't afford to have mercy or pity or compassion. It comes down to survival.
If a million must die so that 2 million can live, I'm good with it.
If a billion must die so a thousand can live, I'm good with it.
Javik knows the score. Shepard does too. And his reasons for disliking Cerberus are much better than any other crewmember. He won't tolerate any other enemy beside the Reaper, simple as that.
And he's not looking to be sympathetic, he's looking to kill Reapers.
He has the most correct opinions when it comes to war. Everyone else is brutally naive. Garrus knows it too, but his goody two shoes approach gets old.
My Shepard is the same, or as much as BW will let me make him the same in ME3.

James is pissed about leaving the fight. You can hardly blame him, even though it's pointless and futile to fight for the time being. Mordin is more of an ethical/moral questioning. What is truely right? His story is incredibly well written.
James also doesn't seem to be too stupid in regards of the way things go. He isn't a blind alliance ****sucker like Ashley is.
Ashley, to me, is perhaps one of the most racist characters out there. She only likes one faction, the alliance, and probably wouldn't mind seeing every other race burn. Plus her forced militarism is something I take as personally insulting.

. Agreed to a certain degree. I think that curing the genophage is better for the war than not. Rachni is a toss up. And he does not want the geth to aid the war effort. He makes Machiavelli look squeamish but sometimes he is wrong about what is best for the war effort. That said he knows the score better than anyone else.fiendishchicken wrote...
