How is she a ****ty reporter? There's no real evidence of her reporting, good or bad, apart from a few interviews. And a monkey could conduct an interview. That's not indicative of anything.Taboo-XX wrote...
No I just don't like the character. The VA is bad and she's a ****ty reporter. I could care less about resources being used.

Ventus told me that an early draft had Miranda leaving Shepard no matter what. I'm not sure how true that is but it could have been just like that.
She'd have played the role of the temptress indeed.
Instead she fell in love with him. How nice.
Would that have been worse than her dying no matter what?
I mean, they both would have been terrible, but would that actually have been worse?
Considering her behavior in ME2? Yeah it would have been worse.
She'd have looked...inappropriate.
Instead the one who ends up being heartbroken is Miranda if Shepard leaves her.
When I tried that the first time to see what would happen , I thought " Oh wow Shepard is a huge d@*!

Really?
The content is subjective. I don't think she adds much to the story. I'm not too keen on how she sounds either. Acting is most certainly a complaint.

I would have jumped on the Liara bandwagon if she dumped Shep . No , wait , I hate Liara. Well then Shep would have gone for Cortez if he got dumped, yeah .

(the goodbye one right?)
I think that's more her accepting that they're both probably going to die, which is why you have to option to say otherwise.
Plus, "find me" isn't exactly non-committal...

Isabela tries the same thing in DAII.
She's simply afraid of the consequences that's all.
In actuality she loves him and simply won't admit it at said point.

But hating on a character for all the things she doesn't do just seems strange to me.
And being around films as much as you are, I'm sure you're aware that acting is always a complaint.

I've always felt that you should at least try and justify a characters inclusion that's all. I simply feel that it's not really a worthwhile character.

Hell you could even be angry for the character and how they pissed away what could've been a nice little side plot. A reporter on the Normandy was a great idea I think. Plenty of things they could've done with it.

He dies -> She's alone
She dies -> He's alone
It's the last vestige of an older Miranda going away. They'll move on if the other dies but avoiding emotional connection has been Miranda's issue before.
It's kind of important with Shepard.
