No I just don't like the character. The VA is bad and she's a ****ty reporter. I could care less about resources being used.

How is she a ****ty reporter? There's no real evidence of her reporting, good or bad, apart from a few interviews. And a monkey could conduct an interview. That's not indicative of anything.

Ventus told me that an early draft had Miranda leaving Shepard no matter what. I'm not sure how true that is but it could have been just like that.

She'd have played the role of the temptress indeed.

Instead she fell in love with him. How nice.

Would that have been worse than her dying no matter what?

I mean, they both would have been terrible, but would that actually have been worse?

Considering her behavior in ME2? Yeah it would have been worse.

She'd have looked...inappropriate.

Instead the one who ends up being heartbroken is Miranda if Shepard leaves her.

When I tried that the first time to see what would happen , I thought " Oh wow Shepard is a huge d@*!

If she had always dumped shepard, though, the lulz in this page would be AMAZING.

Or this page would be empty.

I'm not sure which...

Really?

The content is subjective. I don't think she adds much to the story. I'm not too keen on how she sounds either. Acting is most certainly a complaint.

I still think it sounds like she tries to break it off during the last holocall.

That's why I'm not really a fan of that last conversation.

You were clear. And I was just saying I do not agree with the practice. And tend to treat it with nothing but disdain.

Fair enough ^_^  And I don't agree with it either.  But lashing out at inequity by targeting the person (or in this case, character) who has the most resources is a very human response, if a counterproductive one.  I'm honestly surprised it doesn't happen more.

I would have jumped on the Liara bandwagon  if she dumped Shep . No , wait , I hate Liara. Well then Shep would have gone for Cortez if he got dumped, yeah .

(the goodbye one right?)

I think that's more her accepting that they're both probably going to die, which is why you have to option to say otherwise.

Plus, "find me" isn't exactly non-committal...

Isabela tries the same thing in DAII. :wizard:

She's simply afraid of the consequences that's all.

In actuality she loves him and simply won't admit it at said point.

No, she doesn't, I agree.

But hating on a character for all the things she doesn't do just seems strange to me.

And being around films as much as you are, I'm sure you're aware that acting is always a complaint.

But she does when she is dying . But not when she is fairly sure that she is going to die.

I've always felt that you should at least try and justify a characters inclusion that's all. I simply feel that it's not really a worthwhile character.

The consequences haven't changed.

I recognize it's a moment of weakness. I still don't like it.

Agree 100%, but that's Bioware's failing (again).

Hell you could even be angry for the character and how they pissed away what could've been a nice little side plot. A reporter on the Normandy was a great idea I think. Plenty of things they could've done with it.

He dies -> She's alone

She dies -> He's alone

It's the last vestige of an older Miranda going away. They'll move on if the other dies but avoiding emotional connection has been Miranda's issue before.

It's kind of important with Shepard.

Like I said, I understand what it is.

I still don't like it or feel that it was terribly needed.

It makes sense , she always tended to keep things lighter in the conversations .

It makes sense to me to. She tries so hard to hide her feelings and she quite simply sucks at it.
