Having said that, I don't contest the idea that it is bad. "Why" is more of a moot point, really, in the long run.

I think the why is very important, especially in the long run—and I suspect you do, too. It’s important because exposing it, if you will, can affect future games both at BioWare and elsewhere.

Hmm, I think this is one of those funny instances where the word 'moot' actually has a different definition between Europe and America.

I believe, to Americans, it means 'irrelevant', whereas Flemm actually meant that it is open to debate or speculation.

So, yeah, he does believe it is important. :)

She seems very good at hiding all emotions with others , thus as Wilson dubbed her the ICE queen.

It's confusing, but I think Miranda and Ori may have come aboard the Normandy post Sanctuary. Or Shepard is speaking of the crew when he speaks of family. On a re-read, it seems to be alternate Joker dialogue. He's much more angry about her death and castigates her for her secrecy.

Hell you could even be angry for the character and how they pissed away what could've been a nice little side plot. A reporter on the Normandy was a great idea I think. Plenty of things they could've done with it.

Huh.  I hadn't thought of that--that's a very good point.  I never hopped on the Allers hate train--she was just sort of an inconsequential character to me.

You do get a glimmer of that story potential with the letter she sends Shep right before Priority: Earth.  That was pretty badass.

You need only look at her face to know what's up. She upset in very first few conversations Shepard has with her. Her face tightens and she's in pain. Not physically mind you but you can tell.

Shepard simply knows how to read her better than anyone else. Jacob couldn't figure her out.

I don't hate allers, but holy god is her VA terrible.

TERRIBLE.

Just hire a real VA next time. Nobody bought the game because Chobot (who's appearance did not translate well to videogames) anyways...

Miranda has survived in data going all the way back to E3 2011. That's a refreshing thought to know that she's survived in some capacity that long.

Good point .
And  Jacob did volunteer to go in the heating duct, so he's obviously not too bright.

I think it was less Chobot being un-mocapp-able and more Bioware just sucking at it.

Not like there isn't precedent. You're in her thread right now. I'm a fan of Miranda but even I know they ****ed up in scanning Yvonne.

Plenty of other games got it pat. Just look at the Force Unleashed. Starkiller actually looks like Sam Witwer and his face isn't all ****ed up. At least on the PS3.

Miranda didn't end up looking like the Lady in the Radiator from Eraserhead though.

I've been on something Shepard and Miranda can do post war. We don't always see eye to eye here (SHOCKING) but the general concept is agreed upon by most people in the thread.

I'm doing something of the sort. Obviously it will have differences of opinion but it would be a nice gesture on my part I suppose.

In a separate thread and link to it. That way it doesnt get lost. Cause like so many things in the Miranda thread, the details will fall through the cracks, to be sure.

You should include fiendishchicken's idea where they murder all the alliance crew(sans Joker), thus getting off on the right foot to be cerberus 2.0.

Well the thing is where would I put it? I'm more than willing to do it I simply want to know in what capacity people want it.

I'd like to think Miranda and Shepard would start over. A direct Cerberus clone is a terrible idea.

The idea behind a Phoenix is rebirth not cloning.

Yes but where? Here in the character section?
