Well then to get this back on topic. Would Miranda be in favor of letting EDI obtain a body?

No.

Next question.

I am keeping cool and carrying on. I wasn't aware that I was upset.

I just don't think this thread is going to be all-Miranda/Mass Effect topics all the time. It'll go into OT every now and then, and the thread needs it, tbh.

. Could have phrased your initial feelings a little more articulately.  Just saying:bandit:

You can't always get what you want.

You putting periods at the beginning of your posts kind of annoys me, but I'm not going to ask you to change.

Indeed.

I assume you're in there, but I have some things to do. I'll be on shortly.

Edit: I'm also trying to find a good mic situation. I'm not big into talking to my laptop.

Probably not, plus after bringing EDI along with my Solder Shepard it's kind of weird that she has the same manner of speech as Miranda:

Miranda: It's awkward.

Shepard: She's just getting used to having a mobile platform.

Miranda: Yes but she dresses like me, and keeps asking me questions about Joker.

Shepard:  So?

Miranda: The ship is interested in a relationship with it's pilot.

Shepard: And we fight giant biomechanical cuttlefish for a living. In comparison Joker dating EDI really isn' t that strange.

Miranda: You do have a point.

He's like the fallen protagonist or tragic villain. He tried to do the right thing but was corrupted and twisted into a perverted mockery of his original ideals and goals. Shepard says it himself, the Reapers have them fighting each other instead of them.

Pfft. You vastly over-romanticize him.

TIM has a very large dose of either douchebaggery or incompetence. And I still can't make up my mind which is worse.

He is to be given credit for starting the path, nothing more. Someone like him was needed to get the ball rolling. But he should've been replaced long ago.

I can say the same for you.

You don't give him the credit he deserves. He brought Shepard back. And he was committed to stopping the Reapers, until they intervened. He and Cerberus fought the Reapers when no one else would. They stood behind Shepard when no one else would. And he still does what he has to. He could have controlled the Reapers. His proof of concept at Sanctuary showed that. And the Crucible allows you to do so. I will never choose it, but control proves that TIM was indeed right all along.

You see where this is going?

Why else do you think I'm replaying ME2 if not to pass the time until Baldur's Gate Extended?  (Though I did feel like my poor neglected ManShep deserved a fair shake.)

Is it bad that I didn't figure out Skype until everyone left?

I could hear everyone, but my mic wasn't picking up my voice, I guess. I nodded along in agreement with many things.

Turn that coin over and let's talk about Pragia, Akuze, and the stuff related to Hades Dogs. To say nothing of the Collector Ship and his mini-freakout if you decide to destroy the base.

Bottom line is he's a ruthless manipulative bastard who uses people like tools. Sometimes that's necessary, but what's worse is he's allowed his organization to become the Highly Visible Covert OP terrorist Space Camp from Hell. Again, either he enjoys authoring atrocities or he's too much of a screw up to prevent them, or to prevent them from going public.

Either way he was starting to slip way before ME3. And for that he needed to be replaced.

Oh and don't get too self-righteous with the whole "he's fighting the Reapers and backing Shepard." Even Palpatine was grooming his Empire to fight the Yuuzhan Vong in Star Wars. You going to tell me he was noble and misunderstood? And even Aria, badass as she may be is just a gang leader thug, but she knows enough to back Shepard in the war. It's just survival. Neither deserve medals from wanting to avoid becoming Reaper goo. It just appears special because everyone that isn't them, Shepard, or his crew is terminally infected with Stupid and are living in denial.

Oh and for the record, TIM wasn't "right" about control. He still wanted to control the Reapers pre-Crucible when there was zero evidence that this was possible. That the Crucible did enable control is incidental. That's like me guessing random numbers and when they turn out to be winning lottery numbers, I get all high and mighty that I somehow "predicted" the winning numbers. Please.

You may have been on mute...it did that the first time I used call too. There's a button to unmute your mic somewhere...you know, for next time. ^_^

I see.

I was testing my microphone on the Sound Test Service and I could hear my voice fine, but every time I spoke in the call I wasn't see my name pop up or anything.

Oh well. Like you said, there's always next time. I'm running on a pretty ghetto setup as well; My Xbox 360 microphone. Couldn't find anything else. Probably need to purchase something better for it.

I did enjoy listening to all of you talking, though. Got a lot of insight into things.

Well then get on Skype and we'll talk to you. There's plenty of dirty jokes for everyone.

I can ruin so many things for you. Including Burritos! But you'll have to be on Skype to hear that story.

It's far too dirty for the BSN.
