From a conceptual standpoint, I would prefer my Space Station to be near a star. Seeing as we have our connection to Phoenix we should at least have a sun.

In regards to Elysium Ieldra has the right idea. That's rooted in all cultures, at least in some concept.

Elysium links back to two rulers, Cronus or Rhadamanthus. The last bit is trivial information but I thought I'd share it anyway. The latter would judge the dead in Hades alongside Minos and Aeacus.

Given the super secret spy stuff we all love so much you might have a Triad or something below Shepard and Miranda. Note that I'm just shooting things out now and this last section shouldn't be taken seriously unless you want it to be.

Isn't so much fun when we get along? I also have a super secret plan for Ieldra if he wants to hear it. Nothing mean or anything. I just want him to hear me out on something. Drop me a PM if you're so inclined. I'll answer you in full there.

And now this!

Can someone tell me how Ledra is bringing back Shepard in Synthesis? I keep hearing about it but have seen how.

I believe he's using Javik's memory shard. Very clever.

You can actually explain what he's doing without making the skeptic in me groan loudly. I await to see how he comes back though. Nude a la Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator? Right in front of Miranda?

Sorry about the Bender, I'm not making any insinuations Ieldra I just thought you'd recognize the character.

Not Ieldra, but I came up with one of the ideas he uses.

If you tell Javik to look at the memory shard, he will give it to Shepard at the FOB. Imagine that Shepard uses it, and leaves it behind at some point before jumping into the beam. The memories within will form something like the Keiji "ghost" seen in Kasumi's slide, containing all the data that makes up Shep. Upload to a body as desired.

Nope.  He's dead in the EC.  The EC covers many years after the fact (the rebuilding of the citadel) and he's dead in it.  GROAN.

It's no more far fetched than the galaxy rebuilding in ten to fifteen years as stated at the SDCC and that's in all of the endings.

You can do whatever you wish.

And Miranda would be overjoyed. Srs.

It's not that it's far-fetched, it's that it goes against what's shown on screen.

I'm not a proponent of head-canoning away actual canon.  Why bother playing the game then?

Though if he comes back green, it'd be worth it for the lulz...

Modern Love will get him to the church on time even if Ieldra doesn't believe in it.

...why would they go to a church?

Wouldn't Miranda just sign some piece of paper and then go back to work?

Isn't that the official canon around here, all work no play?

It's a joke mate.

But yes, I'd see her asking him to save time and to prevent "inconveniance" should she be so inclined to marry him.

I'm actually curious what type of wedding she would want now.

Like, my mirimance shep is still the (eventually) marrying kind, so he'd eventually drag her into it, even kicking and screaming. I just have no earthly idea what kind of ceremony she'd want.

You know, I could almost see her wanting a traditional one, just because of how she does sort of yearn for the family aspect. She'd just have to keep ducking out of the reception to check (insert science stuff here) results every now and then...

You don't need Modern Love. Didn't you listen to the song?

It isn't about societal demands or religion!

It's about love! LOVE!

I do see the wedding as being simple and brief. And then they spend a fortune on the honeymoon.

. I'd imagine a very small ceremony, former Normandy Crew, Oriana, etc... Definitely not a religious ceremony, my Shepard is an atheist and Miranda never struck me as a believer.  Afterwards head to a remote Pacific island for a week, or ten.

Sounds about right... My shep nudges her along. :)  You know Miranda would probably want to plan everything.  "I always have a plan."  :)

It's probably be a small gathering of people close to her.  I think Shepard will have the bigger crowd.  Normandy crew friends.

A nice tropical beach for their honeymoon sounds good.  Only the best for Ms. Lawson and Mr. Shepard.

Yeah boss, both of them are atheists, though they do have a theoretical interest in a belief of a realm of existence that cannot be fathomed.

But no religious ceremony for them. Miranda will be like Sarah when Chuck and Sarah were getting ready to get married:

Ellie takes her wedding shopping and Sarah is really reluctant since she wants to elope with Chuck (which includes the famous belly dancing scene) and doesn't believe she has any friends to bring to her wedding.

Ellie is really enthusiastic about the wedding, but Sarah isn't. Then slowly as she gets into it, she starts getting more interest in it, and eventually she becomes a total bridezilla.

It's funny how the episode ends as it has Sarah yelling at the people setting up the wedding and Ellie and Chuck watching on in horror, with Ellie mentioning that Sarah has gone way over budget on things, and that Ellie has created a monster.

I don't think she'd do a religious ceremony, but a ceremony just because it's "normal" and a normal life is kinda something she wants (since she didn't have one growing up). Of course, she'd be running around trying to balance that with all the other stuff she's got going on. And then one of her experiements gets out of control, and she's trying to fix it, but then wacky misunderstandings ensue, and Shep thinks she's cheating on him with her lab assistant (who really has a thing for Orianna) and everyone gets mad and storms out, but then Miranda's lab experiment finds love with a decanter machine, and everyone is all "dawwwww" and everything works out, and they get married (with a cameo from, uhhhh, Patrick Stewart as the judge cuz why not) and Orianna gets her first kiss and Jacob doesn't get invited cuz he sucks.

Adam Sandler can produce it.

Alex, I don't think, would care about a wedding, so I'd actually see something like a common-law relationship unless she did. I'm in the process of revising Matt's background. Current version has him raised very religious, so he would care and ask her.

Yes. But if I disappear the group had better not fall apart like it did last night.

Babs had better show up. There is no excuse!
