Tell me about it. Licensing damages sales like you wouldn't believe. Films have the same issue, especially older ones.

If this is the case it may not be a complete transfer. Depending on who owns the rights in the opening cinematics we might see some very interesting things.

I played ME1 years ago. It'll be nice to have a "full" experience now.

It doesn't include the DLC?

What's the point?  So PS3 owners can hear Kaidan cry about how his head hurts?

I already have all the DLC. The PS3 actually has DLC available to give you pre-order content unavailable to most Xbox players.

Not that I've ever used the Collector Armor, Rifle or that Black Hole thingy.

Yeah but the PS3 version got LotSB, Cerberus Network, Overlord and Kasumi for free. We're over here rolling in free stuff.

I wonder if they'll do the same for the ME1 version.

It's only $14.99 on the PSN for digital download.

I hope we get the DLCs for ME1, that'd be really great. I actually expect it, i doubt they'd release them both in the psn

Can't wait to finally play my full playthrought with Conrad and everything.

Just wondering, who here supports a ME games set after ME3?

I don't. Given the current endings, it can only fail.

I would love if they released everything, including all the final dlcs, as one big set someday.  I'd buy it, just to have a hardcopy...

I'm against it.

I strongly believe a prequel would be the best for the next ME game.

I don't think that'll happen. We're most likely going to see a prequel.

That's just a guess by seeing how ever the retcons in the EC didn't remove certain fears I wouldn't try to do something post ME3.

I'd like to see something from another perspective. New protagonist set around the time of Shepard. Perhaps during those two years he was being rebuilt?

More...background on certain things.

prequels are boring. I already know how it ends.

I would rather a prequel as well, sadly I think BioWare may be serious about having synthesis as a canon ending in ME4

I really, really do not like prequels. I don't want to be gunning down turians after spending three games with them as allies.

Besides, one of the biggest problems with ME 3 was that Shepard's actions felt meaningless at the end. Making a game where we know for certain the protagonist's actions will be meaningless isn't doing much to solve that problem.

It means Synthesis will occur at some point. This sequel would be set so far in the future no one would know if Shepard enacted it or not. That way your canon still stays intact.

It WILL happen but not within Shepard and Miranda's lifetimes. They'll be long dead.

The problem becomes, the already pissed off enough people by practically negating all our choices from 1 and 2. So a game that followed 3 would have to cannonize one of the three colors, probably green, which would again, negate more than half of their fan bases choices. Even the people who accepted the ending (or the "non-vocal majority" as EA/BioWare claimed) would be rather upset about that.

So if they're smart, they will probably do a prequel. And if they're ballsy, they'll do an "at the same time as" alternate storyline and figure in your choices from 1, 2 or 3 to affect your new characters story line. That'd be interesting, but tough.

Has anyone besides Merizan said that Synthesis is canon?

All she said was that it was inevitable. She said nothing of canon. It's people being reactionary again.

. I don't know about you but it's time for some serious headcanon to get around that little issue

Oh it's amlost sure it will be a prequel.

I remember an article where Mr. Hudson stated that if they were to do another ME game, it would be a prequel.

ME3 is the last in the chronology.

And Bioware could never make synthesis Canon. Sales would go horrible as it not only is the less popular ending, but it will detrsoy the hole idea behind "there is no canon choice in ME"

I still say if they make a sequel, they'll have to canonize destroy. There's no way they make a mass effect game without the titular character.

Halo 4 brought back Master Chief, any potential Mass Effect 4 would follow suit.

To throw in my opinion on the whole sexuality topic-

Miranda is straight. Completely. If she was bi, then there would be a Femshep romance. But there's not, and Miranda never hinted at being bi in any of her dialog.

Shep's done. They have said so quite clearly. Unless of course, they pull something like the beginning of ME2, where the trailers said he was dead and then he came back, but while I liked it once, twice would just be downright obnoxious. So they wont do that again I don't think.
