That's probably because Halo started in 2001, and Mass Effect came out in 2007. If the roles had been reversed, you'd like be a Mass Effect fan before a Halo fan.

Just sayin' scrah.

I know but I bought ME because it had the BW label on it.

I rented it through Gamefly because I was bored with the games I had at the time. lol

I see what you're saying by jumping into the unknown with Halo, though. I've always loved Halo. I hope 343 delivers with it.

Agreed, but that's because Halo came out before. Although I got a late start to both series.

I've played every major Halo game except Wars and 2.
But my friend lent me 2 so I started that tonight.

I bought ME2 because the ads were AMAZING (both TV and the print ones) and bioware had made KOTOR (my favorite game ever on xbox).

Halo 2 is far more than pretty good, in my opinion.

The single-player was fun (and I really didn't/don't have a problem with Halo 2's ending), but it's the multiplayer that makes Halo 2 what it is. Not only do I think it revolutionized multiplayer gaming in general, but also was the game that made MLG take off like it did. It is the ultimate example of how to do multiplayer in a video game.

Unfortunately, I think Bungie deviated from this as the series went on, which is why I soured on Halo somewhat.

. My main problem with Halo 2 was no Assault Rifle, kind of dissapointing.  As for the ending, well I think it has been surpassed in ending rage by another really good Sci-fi series *cough*.

I also got ME after I got ME2.  And in fact, I didn't like it that much, took a while to adjust to the different gameplay.  Trying to use a sniper rifle was a B*TCH.

EDIT: Also, as annoying as Halo 2's ending was, at least it was because it was part 2 of a trilogy.  It was supposed to lead into part 3.  Way more forgivable that RGB...

. Still cliffhangers are no fun. And ME took me by surprise, I never would have guessed it would become such a favorite of mine, I've probably spent as much time in ME as I have Halo games, the only one that comes lose to these two is Skyrim

Mass Effect is my firm #1, followed by KoTOR, and then Halo. Then AC.

It had the BR, though. That's better than any other assault rifle in any other game. My opinion, of course. I have an incredible nostalgia effect when it comes to Halo 2. I had some of my best times on video games with Halo 2.

On H2's ending, I didn't have a problem with it because they were simply branching two games together and obviously didn't have a big, grandiose ending in mind. ME3's ended the series and left the protagonist's fate up to interpretation.

Do not want. That's why I haven't completed a Mass Effect 3 playthrough since April or May.

I have, but the keyword is playthrough. I loaded up my first ME3 playthrough and just played the ending.

I don't feel like I'm working towards anything of worth anymore, so I'm not sure I'll go through another full playthrough again.

Well this is the Miranda thread.

But there's also Miranda Keyes in Halo. ;) (Lawson's still better of course)

Indeed. I truly have no idea who you are. I've been in this thread for a month or so and haven't seen one post from you.

You're either an old Miranda romancer from pages ago, or you're an old trolling making your return. I have no idea.
