Sorry about dipping out of the Skype chat earlier. I wasn't in the greatest of moods at the time, as the Cowboys were being annihilated by DA BEARWS.

DAAAAA Bears.

Here I thought I could come to the Miranda thread as a santuary, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

You made me cry. I am crying now. Sad tears.

Hot_Heart is the guy to go to for all her stuff though.
*Amazing picture*

It was research, I tell you. Research! :P

I might actually include an 'easter eggs' thing when I finish my fic (whenever that is...) for people to spot all the in-game nods and external references, things like that.

But I think you may know more than me, actually. Plus, that is a cool pic I had not seen before, thanks!

On the Dexter topic, as I was saying to kratos, if she is an antagonist, that seems like far too many for one season going by the first episode. Either she's there for the long-game or she could be a wrongly-suspected antagonist. I think a romantic relationship has been as much as confirmed but that doesn't point either way.

Now I shall depart because there is work to do and I don't have any Miranda-related discussion and it all seems to happen on Skype. :P

Yeah. It's like a Midsummer Night's Dream for antagonists.

I do have perhaps the craziest hots for Yvonne than anyone else here... Well there's another but I'm not going to get into that. It's the way she portrays her characters that bring a sort of grounded, yet attractive feeling too her. Miranda and Sarah Walker are very magnetic characters to me. That's not to say everything she does is good. Her character in the Canyon was idiotic and stupid plus 5 check 1.

She's going to be on the show for the whole season, not just some 2-3 episode arc.

Btw, Dexter is getting record ratings for the first episode, which is projected to last for the whole season. I think one reason is because it might be for Yvonne.

Miserable about this rain.

It's gonna suck even worse this weekend when I have to sleep in it.

Again I'd rather not talk about it here either. I'm well aware of what's happening and it's exactly what I said it would be. We can talk about it on Skype later.

Nihlus you need to get on Skype at some point. Everyone has met everyone else. We even had some guy named Tim last night. From Sussex.

More Miranda is always good, especially when we can all make sounds in agreement like a circle of gentlemen and ladies.

"Hmmm, yes, quite."

Ironically, Miranda might have received better treatment had she been dead by default, rather than being the token character killed during the game.

. Please do explain that one:huh:

Gladly. Miranda right now serves the function of the sympathetic character who dies just before the climax to give the heroes extra personal motive to kill the villains. She's written in such a way as to make the new player be horrified and outraged at her death, which meant sanding away the sharp edges and downplaying her connection to Cerberus. If she had been inport-only, there may have been less of a drive to make her "likable" and more motive to address the controversial aspects of her character because any player seeing her content already knew about it.

Or not. See Thane. But her current role does her no favors. The main problem  was her writer.

There are two, TWO, better versions of this song.

Nina Simone and Muse.

Can you prove that or are these more conspiracies?

She's always elicited pity from me and judging from Skype conversations at least seven other people.

Don't aestheticize that which is not marketable, it will only lead to tears.

Didn't like this one because of the scars. I have the scars disappearing, but they slowly come back as the strain of the war starts to wear on Shepard and he becomes a more... unstable person due to the incredible stress.

Yeah everyone feels queasy about this stuff.

Oh yes,"jay w."

He didn't write Miranda, he just tried. And all we heard about him something like "sorry to screw the characters you like, I'll try to do better next time." That won't fix anything.

Damn bioware, delegating a complex character to a noob writer...

I thought about posting Nina Simone's version (I'm not big on Muse), but I went with Michael Buble's. I like his. Has a better climax at the ending of the song than the other two.

Then you should join us on Skype. ;)

I think it happens past my bedtime. -_-
Also, I'd only be able to join via text not mic (as much as I'm sure you'd love my English accent...).
And I'm probably too busy/preoccupied for proper chats most of the time. :pinched:

But you can add me and invite me or whatever since I'm usually signed into Skype, though I think only Rach has added me on there.

Oh, yeah, she does seem to have a knack for imbuing her characters with an electric and magnetic (electromagnetic?!) personality.

Probably would've written off Miranda as a **** if not for her.

Somehow that remind me one of my post from long time ago. It was a pessimist comment (and way before the leak),about the no information about the ME2 characters. It was something like...

"You won't have any ME2 character back in the squad, but you'll have the ME1 squad back and the awesome Vega."

And, it was true!!!
