Speaking of how ME3 was screwed up:

Chris Priestly ‏@BioEvilChris

Hey! Fellow gamers. RE6 a combined 0.4 user score? No one is taking you seriously anymore when you review bomb a game like this.

Oh...the irony. Silly gamers, we should just buy off IGN and get a favorable review instead. Amirite?

And hate to break it to you Taboo, but Shepard is totally staring at her cleavage in that picture.

A 2-sided medal.

- It definitely doesn't deserve a 0. No game does.
- If it would have been rated 5/10 what it maybe actually deserves, the rating wouldn't have that much impact. Less pressure from the dissappointed fans.

Varmint Shooter '98 begs to differ.

That said, ME3 is not a 10/10 game. Bioware needs to let their ego go. Actually, outside of ME, I don't care anymore, they're not getting another dime from me.

Any future game by them I play will be bought used or borrowed. Or stolen/pirated :bandit:.

But I won't sink to that level.

Oh, agreed with ME3. BioWare is way too proud of their game.

However, Chris already stated: "The guy who says it is bad, explains why and rates it a 3 is FAR better than a 0 score saying "this sux so bad. Total fail. Trololol"" and that I can agree with.

The question that remains at the developer is, if you accept these 0 reviews as a clear message from the fans, or write it off as some trolling you can ignore.

Not to be a dick, but this is why companies like EA/Bioware are being forced to move into online/microtransaction/DLC based gameplay.  Developing and marketing games is expensive, and if they can't make money selling them, they have to make up for it somewhere.  It's a business first and foremost, which is why the ART arguement was always such a bad one...

Basically, Javik being a day-one DLC is your fault BBN.

I'm done with Call of Duty. I bought MW3 and proceeded to give it away to my little brother about a month later. What an awful game. MW3 being so terrible is actually how I got into Mass Effect, I gave my game away and needed something else to play so I bought Mass Effect 2 off the PSN Store for 30 bucks and thought "This is a pretty good game." and then found out the sequel was coming out in like 2 months too.

So in essence, **** you COD.

They can keep doing that. I'll keep renting their games and sending them back if they're pieces of ****.

Plus, this new movement in the gaming industry to have these "season passes/Cerberus Network" like deals is more about used game sells and not rentals. At least I think it is.

But it's an 'AAA game', you can't give it less than 6/10. LOOK AT THE PRODUCTION VALUES.

All I did yesterday was cram another Bowie album on my phone.

Don't pay attention to reviewers. For the love of all that is holy. Don't do it for music, books, games, anything.

Trust your friends.

Eh, it's both.  It's basically to combat people being able to play the game without paying them money, which is accomplished with both rentals and used sales.

I agree that it's both, but I think it's more about stores like Gamestop, EB Games (if they're even still around, I don't know) than a site like Gamefly.

Still, it's more money grubbing from publishers, and I'll gladly rip them off a little bit.

Gamefly wouldn't exist if the games weren't so ****ing expensive. 60 bucks for a brand new game is absolutely ridiculous. And it pisses me off so much seeing ME3 on sale for 25-30 bucks just MONTHS after being released when I paid full price. Seriously, when I saw that at my local Gamestop a few months ago I about went ape **** right there in the store. It's nothing but a scam. I'll never buy a game on release again. 60 bucks gets me about 3/4 tank of gas in my truck.

All said and done, I'd still give ME3 8/10, there's not much wrong with the game, it just did not live up to expectations. Maybe 9/10 with EC

I'lll buy a game at release. What do these all have in common:
Mass Effect 2
Batman Arkham Asylum
Skyrim

Answer? I bought each for the full price, and I feel I've completely gotten my money's worth. Now, Ultimate Alliance 2, let's not talk about.

Seriously, games are expensive to develope. And I doubt any one of you would be happy to work for free...

I remember when ESPN NFL 2K5, the greatest football game of all-time, released for $20 and blew Madden's doors off. It was hilarious.

That's why I use Gamefly. There are 5 games coming out in a span of 2-3 weeks that will all cost $60, and I'm certainly not buying all of them.

You should get a PS3. With a Gold pass you can get games for free. Full games. AAA too. Eighteen bucks for three months. All the downloads you want.

Each CoD game of the last 5 years for me has had something I liked about it. MW4 was an amazing game. I really liked it a lot. The MP was innovative and fun, the gameplay was excellent and fluid, and the story was gripping and definitely had me on the edge of my seat. I played the crap out of it.

WaW had a decent, if rehashed story, and it brought Zombies onto the playing field, and it had the best maps for it.
MP was a waste thought.

MW2 had an even better SP (from my PoV) story, but the mp was lame and I had no interest in SpecOps.
Michael Myers was unconventional game though.

BO had an interesting though predictable SP, killed Zombies, and I didn't even bother with MP.

MW3 I played the campaign once, then did another couple missions to maximize my achievements, then put the game on the shelf, where it has rested ever since. Didn't even go into the MP or SpecOps.

I have no interest in BO2.

I actually had a PS3, and I might have kept it if I knew you were on it. Now I know your blowing off a 360 all together, and it makes me very sad.

I think Call of Duty has just gotten too grandiose and ridiculous.

I still hold the opinion that Call of Duty 2 was the best in the series. It was very bare-bones, and I loved that.

I'd go without pay for a year. I believe in what I'm doing and get plenty of job fulfillment protecting all your sorry asses from bad guys :P.

My job keeps people safe at night and our troops well informed. Pay and benefits are very good, but I could care less if people die on my watch because I or my soldiers didn't get our intel straight.

I much prefer BF and Halo. I'm not really interested in Halo 4 though.

I've said before I'd trade in every game I own for another Mass Effect trilogy with Shepard at the helm once more.

And my whole DVD collection for another Season (and a movie) of Chuck. Ditto with Firefly.

My problem is that my patterns don't jive with everyone else. When it's Skype primetime for you guys, I'm usually on Xbox playing. I usually get on after the call is over and everyone has gone off to do something else.
