If people want to spam in this thread that Miranda in ME3 is not Miranda, maybe they should rename this thread "The impostor of ME3" and let people create their own Miranda thread to discuss peacefully about the character.

I agree. I like the development Miranda's character undergoes. The thing is Bioware didn't show the badass side of Miranda enough, despite them alluding to it.

But still, to call her an imposter.

I wouldn't say it's ever been "spammed".

It is an overly bitter and pessimistic statement and not one that I agree with. But fortunately it is in the minority.

Though again, who's picking fights?

Well .. lack of content :/

Seriously, I'm tempted to contact a moderarator, and ask the permission to open a new thread.

You can do as you like. I don't think it's necessary though.

A lack of content should never be this controversial, this divisive. I think we're all still friends here.

Taboo's on it. There have been some irreconcilable opinions (and differences) coming from this.

Some people want and believe Miranda is something that she is not.

The others believe in another variable.

We're a volatile mix. I know I for one am an extreme Alpha type person.

I'm not shy. If I'm in a crowd, I'll assert myself.

Well I fear peaceful cohabitation will never exist in this thread, like it never existed in the ME2 ones.
Too bad, because united, the Miranda fanbase had the potential to be one of the most important of the forum and maybe made Bioware reconsider the size of her role in ME3.

I haven't seen either of these.

I've seen people who aren't happy with the one-sided portrayal in ME3.

I've also seen people that rejoice in what we have.

There has been some undue pessimism in the former and some complaints in the latter about the former.

All in all, not world-shattering I'd say.

I can't speak about the ME2 forums because I wasn't there.

I haven't seen any warmongering or a "war-like state" in this one. At least not since page 695 when I first joined.

I think nobody is happy of the one-sided portrayal.
The main difference is that some people think she's not the same character since the other side is not shown, while the others think that it's still there.

Personally I like the few content we have, but it lacks a lot of content and not just about one side of the character.

Not world-shattering. But seemingly irreconcilable judging from the responses from both "sides".

Well, yes that's true. And of course Miranda is still Miranda (we just don't see the whole picture in ME3). But you have to take disappointment and yes, butthurt into account as well.

I'm sure most of those people calling "impostor" don't really mean it. And if they do, sad for them. But there really aren't that many.

And there was a lot of doom and gloom on this thread, it came in cycles (like everything else it seems). But again, people are angry and disappointed at the situation, exaggeration may take hold, tempers may flare. We're all human. And it is the Internet.

There was a user on here before ME3's endings went to ****. Went by the name AdmiralCheez. Never discussed much with her personally but she seemed really cool and was always fond of saying "calm yo ******".

I think we all need a bit of calming of the ****** right now. We're not pissed at each other. We're just pissed at Bioware because they didn't see fit to give us more/ better screentime for our beloved character. And also they stopped making sense in the process, instead making "art".

What are ya gonna do, right?

Yes, but must we build consensus? Do we all have to "convert" to one side or another?

There were accusations of "majority opinions" pushing out the little guys a few pages back. Don't we want diversity?

As long as you don't keep whining about it, you should be allowed to believe whatever you want, right?

Don't have time to continue this conversation, I must leave sorry.

But when I'm too disappointed I try to comfort me with my tribute videos ...
ME3 Miranda tribute video : I Promise
ME2 Miranda tribute video : Story & Romance

(but it only makes me even more disappointed after that)

You know, I think once I get the time machine working I'm going to scrap both the current arc as well as a Cerberus arc for Miranda. I don't like either of those. I think the best option is something new. Miranda working with aliens, I think. Asari or salarians.

No worries.

The bottom line is I truly don't believe we disagree as much as some people think.

We all agree Miranda isn't there as much as she should be and as whole as she should be. The role is one-sided and far too short.

Some of us miss the badass professional operative scientist side that we don't see
Some of us celebrate the warm human side that we do see.

There is pessimism and there is negative speculation about things we'll never know for sure. But at the end of the day, it's just disappointment and speculation.

We're all in this together.

For Miranda!

Nope, just Miranda.  And Ashely.  Mostly Ashley.  Also Miranda.

Screw Jacob.

Oh, I agree. I'd prefer diversity. Difference of opinion is part of what makes this thread great.

And when all is said and done, there is probably more that we all agree on than we disagree.

There are people here who I wish would go away... forever.

I and several others (and yes this is fact, we're talking about this as we speak on skype) have pretty much reached our wits end.

You just need to try harder to get along with everyone.  There are some real tools in the Ashley thread, and I get along with them all (as best I know).

And yes, I'm sure they think I'm a tool too.  Humans are funny that way...
