And btw, we have in common that we find it easier to identify with Miranda than with Shepard. Though I'm somewhat surprised that you do - since I can't imagine Miranda being in any way religious.

Neither can I. But I'm also a prickly introvert who doesn't get on with people and was pushed pretty hard growing up. I also have a tremendous respect for science and scientific acumen. Miranda grapples with some pretty big questions. Who am I and why am I here? She just answers them differently.

Not necessarily true.  Assuming you didn't kill Shiala, she still has the cipher.  Granted she hasn't activated any of the Prothean beacons, which are probably more valuable in terms of knowledge than the cipher itself.

This is all what's been going on with me. I'm so afraid of what might happen to Miri in ME3. I don't want anything bad to happen to My One And Only LI.

And that sentence that Liara says is one of those things that helps me feel more optimistic about Miri in ME3.

she says that if your LI is Garrus, Tali, Thane, Jacob, Miranda and I'm not sure if she says it if your with Kaidan/Ash... but yeah she's in love with shep so it could be her trying to cast aside her feelings or yada yada. I wouldn't think much of the line, just hope Bioware won't pull a cliche spiderman "the bus or the girl" or worse a "Revenge of the sith" you kill him/her.

You never know, just remember there's always a choice in ME, some people's LIs died in the suicide mission because of their poor choices.

If what you say were to happen (though I seriously doubt that it will), I believe that Paragon or Renegade would be involved. Depending on the amout that you have.

But again, it's highly unlikely that it will happen, especially if Miri resigned.

Yes, but there's always the reload button. As long as the death is not inevitable or I'd have to pay a too high price to keep her alive, I'm fine. It's Shepard I'd worry about more. I find it much more likely that Miranda will have to go on without Shepard than the other way round.

I won't be using the reload button, never have and my canon is my very first playthrough even though Wrex died. Keeps it tense. So if I accidently let Miranda die, then...whoops.

Oh, it won't be mandatory. But like you, I would take an option where Shepard dies but Miranda lives if the circumstances fit. My main Shepard thinks that Miranda is more important for humanity than he is. He doesn't have a death wish, and he is pragmatic, but he's a man with a cause and he'd sacrifice himself if that meant he could get the kind of victory he wants and keep Miranda alive at the same time. I'm really curious how that will turn out. I have no idea what will become of Cyrus Shepard and Miranda, and that's quite thrilling. I do hope they will both survive....

I see the games as a medium to interactively write my version of Shepard's story. For that reason, my first playthrough is never my canon playthrough. I won't go for the "best" results in everything, and in fact I may build in tragic events like team member deaths, but there is usually a core set of results I am working towards in any one playthrough.

My one qualm about Shep dying is Miranda possibly getting pregnant to compensate.I don't like fictional kids.
