On the subject of the Collectors:

Shepard: Didn't we blow up all of the Collectors?

Harbinger: YOU DESTROYED OUR SHED.

Shepard: Come on, it was the only station in that entire system!

Harbinger: WE TOLD YOU THAT YOU CHANGED NOTHING. IT WAS A FACTUAL STATEMENT.

Shepard: So we went on a suicide mission for nothing?

Harbinger: THAT WHICH YOU KNOW AS WRITERS ARE YOUR SALVATION THROUGH MASSIVE RETCON!

I wish I was that creative with dialogue.

About the Collectors: not sure about what to think about them being back. It makes sense in a way. It was unbelievable that no other Collector ships were out there when we killed those in the base in ME2, but it's too bad the Adjutants were cut. I would've preferred a new type of enemy.

But I'd accept even more return of old stuff if we only get Petrovsky to talk about Miranda, or Miranda in person of course. Does anyone know how far along in production the Omega DLC is?

Edit:
Oops, top of the page. Here's another look into the history of Miranda screenshots:

I have a question that I now feel a bit more comfortable asking: why didn't Miranda offer casual sex after she noticed her attraction to Shep and vice versa? I'm trying to pace sex for a story and keep running into the fact that Miranda is likely to see emotional intimacy as a much bigger deal.

Well i'd suggest after her bad experience of mixing casual sex and work via the Jacob experience(where he started to want a lot more than casual) put her off such things.

If I were being synical about it, I'd say because Jack does that and bioware considers that part of her "character development" and didn't want to step on that.

In story, it could be that she doesn't just see him as some guy, but (early) as a rival and then later as more. So it's never just a physical thing for her?

I'd say it's because of the adverse effects of fraternization. Sex between different levels of the command structure is usually not a good idea, even if it's just casual sex and things are less formal on a Cerberus ship. Miranda would be aware of this.

Ah, so it's an "abstain from the appearance of evil" thing? Would it have been different if he wasn't her CO?

I'd rather say it's an expression of her "The mission comes first" attitude, and yes, I think it's very plausible that things would've been different if Shepard wasn't her CO, but I wouldn't expect Bioware to write things that way.

krukow and wright also have a point. Here you have three good reasons Miranda might want to avoid casual sex with Shepard. Take your pick...

You should move it so she is forcefully grabbing his collar. :P

Also, I think you've altered it a touch from the earlier version, but I'm not sure her pupil positioning is 100% correct for eye contact. That may just be me, though. :?

Hahaha I like the idea!
And yes I did change the pupils position a little. It seemed like she was looking behind him. But I'm gonna study that a little, thanks for pointing out now! :D

I approve of forcefully grabbing his collar. Miranda is not one to be denied!

You know what I'd like? A little technical wizardry that replaces the models in the Shep/Garrus kiss with Shep/Miranda.

You mean the Citadel one?  Or the one right before the beam run on Priority Earth?

I think both scenes were designed with Garrus's body model in mind--there's that huge armor piece they have to work around, and I think it turned out fairly well, but it might look weird with ManShep's model.

I had the Citadel one in mind. And btw, Dombrow is a genius. I'd kill for his version of Miranda.

I'd also take a model swap of Jack/Shep.

Hot heart, i tried the collar grab, but since he is using his armor, it got kinda complicated D= ....... how do you grab that metal collar/whatever of his armor?!!

so i went for a neck grab, check it out if it's okay!

ps: also 're-callibrated' the eye position! that's what i love about digital art hahaha!

He is a fairly awesome dude, and everything he wrote in ME3 turned out to be golden.  Unless he also wrote Kai Leng to balance out the awesome with suck or something :P

On that note, does anyone know who DID write ME3 Miri?  Or even ME2 Miri for that matter?  My Miranda knowledge is sadly patchy.

OK, thanks.

So Weekes wrote my two favorite ME2 romances.  I should send that guy a cake or something.

See my last post lol.

The detail in Miranda's hair and Shepard's armor is excellent.
