I know all of you know about this but this is the worst thing I have ever saw since ME3's original endings . I'just felt what I feel when I finished ME3 for first time.I mean why ??

I actually was at my local comic book shop, and I saw the whole comic. Miranda actually has a pretty large role in it. It ends with her remarking that due to her identity being compromised when she was poisoned, Brooks can never be a field operative again. Miranda and TIM have a chat about it. But yeah, we've all talked about how Miranda's portrayal is more or less completely against her combined character growth in ME2 and ME3.

I thought the comic was pretty awesome. That's my girl! And since I've caught a few rather large inconsistencies in the game itself, why should I have a fit over this one, especially when I like the retcon more than Citadel?

Wow, look who's front and center. Makes me question who the real hero of the story was...

Or it's foreshadowing for protagonist of ME4...

How so?

Since when are screwups license for further screwups?

What exactly do you have against Miranda's content in Citadel? I know you have issues with the level of fluff and parody in the DLC, but Miranda's content is very much free from all of the stupid stuff. Her content portrays a more adult relationship for Shepard and Miranda, and she's taken rather seriously by the writing staff for it.

Well, take a look at a lot of the stuff I've posted in the 'Foundation #8 Miranda' thread.

I'll start with a question: Why do you think Miranda would lie to Shepard about the clone in Citadel? Would you classify it as a direct contradiction to Miranda's word that was intentional? Or do you think it was simply an inconsistency in the comic caused by lazy writing?

I don't have anything against the apartment scene. I simply prefer Miranda knowing about the clone to not knowing. For once, that's all.

I can understand that. But then it comes to a paradox between a Miranda who has minimal knowledge of the clone's existence, and a Miranda who grew him in a vat and outright lied to perhaps the only person she trusts uncompromisingly (and perhaps even loves in a way she's really never loved before). Why would Miranda outright lie about such a senseless thing?

I don't feel any need to reconcile the two, any more than I feel the need  to reconcile Samara's statements on ardat-yakshi with the fact that there are way more than three. At best/worst, I might use it as an excuse for them to break up in a fanfic. But mostly, it's just another retcon.

I kind of took it as Miranda commenting on how absurd Brooks' plan was. The clone was probably written off with the rest of Lazarus Station's assets, and probably didn't seem important at the time. Miranda did bring up the control chip, and the fact that she couldn't go through with it. Shepard doesn't know everything about how he was brought back, but he's still himself so does it really matter?

I mean it's not like Shepard was brought back in the same way that Agent Coulson was.

I agree with you about that. I was just thrown off by the phrase "combined ME2-ME3 development". There's nothing in ME2 alone that would solidy swing in favor of telling him or not telling him.

And it is inconsistency, of the most laughable sort. But only in the phrasing. I don't think Miranda would lie, or better put conceal the clone at that point. I do think it was meant for testing only and was never supposed to be conscious, much less ambulatory so she'd be surprised by its continued existence and hostility. I don't think all that can fit under "just rumors".

They fucked up, pure and simple.

I simply prefer Miranda knowing about the clone to not knowing. For once, that's all.

The case can be made that she should've known. I suppose at the end of the day, the best interpretation is what we're saying: she was aware of it being used for testing but she expected it was destroyed when the real Shep came back.

I don't feel any need to reconcile the two, any more than I feel the need  to reconcile Samara's statements on ardat-yakshi with the fact that there are way more than three. At best/worst, I might use it as an excuse for them to break up in a fanfic. But mostly, it's just another retcon.

Different situation altogether. There are in-universe reasons for Samara to be mistaken or evasive on the number of ardat-yakshi. There is zero possibility of Miranda being mistaken in this case and zero reason to conceal. Not to mention that if Miranda wanted to hide something she can do better than "just rumors".

I mean it's not like Shepard was brought back in the same way that Agent Coulson was.

Haven't kept up with Agents of Shield but just in case I go back, please no spoilers.

I largely now view it as the work of an incompetent buffoon with only rare moments where i view it as a horrid little deliberate retcon which severely impugns her character given the respect and affection she has for Shep by the point of Citadel. However i certainly won't be buying any further comics in the series and have vowed to stick to my game  universe Miranda from now on. Much better for my mood.

A new lithograph from Bioware:

A shame that Miranda is rather...unimportant in the composition (and Liara right in the middle) but, well at least she is there.

They don't even have Kaidan lulz.

Actually come to think of it it's weird how three finger configurations are more common than five finger ones.

Five fingers- humans, asari, (batarians?)

Three fingers- basically anyone else that has fingers.

What gives?

3 fingers just seems more Alienish and, well the Asaris are supposed to strongly ressemble human femals.

From humans maybe. But then what does it say about them if the majority of races have the two finger and a thumb configuration?

You can still vary it more. Three fingers and a thumb. Two thumbs... get weird. At least the drell are a little different.

But yeah, model recycling probably accounts for it.
