^ Aahw! That selection screen looks so gorgeous! - Also because it has both Ashley and Kaidan.

definitely well at this point we can only dream of a more important role for Miranda in ME3

I also would have enjoyed if she joined Shepard in the final fight (basically from Horizon to Cerberus HQ and then London too)

She needed a EC goodbye scene

She doesn't even needed to be a squadmate if it was too much work for Bioware, at least we got the Citadel DLC *sighs* Though, I was more interested to know what happens after the destroy ending. Thanks to Mac, I'll never know.

Because of Mac, maybe it's better that way.

Hmm. This brings back memories...

Yeah, showing a single slide of Shepard and Miranda together was too much for their artistic integrity.

Seriously, when you're writing the grand finale of a beloved franchise and in the end notes you write "Lots of speculation", you deserve to be punched in the nuts.

Gah, I guess that fanfiction will always be the way of doing Miranda justice. End rant.

Behind this avatar there is more than just a consumer Bioware. There is a fandom. And fandoms are "art"proof.

Miranda gets a lot more hate and criticism than she deserves because of the gratuitous ass shots and her form-fitting gear, but she is by far one of the most well-developed and compelling characters in the Mass Effect Trilogy.

It's been really hard for me to connect with Miranda because of the deep wedgies. Every time I see one of those plentiful ass shots, my first instinct is that I'm looking at some twit who lacks the common sense and personal dignity to pull her panties out of her crack. Wedgies are damned uncomfortable, and basic human empathy makes me uncomfortable (and embarrassed for her) to look at them. I think it debases the character.

I really hope the art department will get over their fascination with wedgie-wear in future installments. It's a lot easier to get to know the personality, morality, etc. of a character when their presentation is not so off-putting.

I certainly agree with Revan Reborn there: it is of course a matter of opinion whether one likes a character but objectively I think Miranda is the most complex character of the series, closely followed by Mordin. She's not a typical hero, overflowing with good traits... she's certainly not a villain either, she's... well, complicated. At times she's coldhearted, ruthless, emotionally detached and strong, and at other times loving, caring, insecure. Despite being artificial she's ironically the most human of them all... And that is why I find the ass shots rather annoying and distracting - though it's only shallow people who can't see past the ass who would judge the character completely based on that, it still is kinda like listening to Mozart and every 10 minutes it is interrupted by Gangnam Style... Maybe next time she could wear a nice little skirt like Ashley :)

My, it's quite nice to see people are still here, I wasn't expecting that.
I would argue why I think Miranda is the best character in ME but I did it so many bloody times =p

It got me wondering, is anyone here at all interested or looking forward to the next Mass Effect, or do you feel done with the series ?

I'm never done with the Mass Effect trilogy. Can't really say about the next game. I'm not very fond of DAI, so I only hope it doesn't turn into space inquisition. But Bioware always have the potential to make something great, or fail. Just gotta wait and see what they're doing with it.

I just don't know what to expect from ME4. Will it make me forget about the Shepard trilogy or will it make me long back for it; will it feel like the appetizer after the meal or is it another chapter of awesomeness? I'll just buy it and play it and see how I like it.

Absolutely zero interest in future ME games, and even less in giving Bioware even a single penny further (now discontinued in Canada to boot).

They done messed up. And I'm fairly sure anything they come up with will only make things worse in terms of the ME world.

Eh, Inquisition renewed my not-really-broken faith in the Austin team. DA2 wasn't a terrible game, just technically repetitive and narratively limiting (while having a hamfisted and anvilicious pro-magi sentiment).

They have a mountain to climb though as far as ME is concerned.

Who knows what the characters will be like in the next Mass Effect? It is a possibility that the original characters will be long gone, dead, including Miranda. It's sad. Oh well. New game, new characters, new generation.

Well yeah, but that means there's the chance that after playing ME4 I will be thinking: wow this was a really good game, but it would have been completely awesome if my friends from ME2 were in it instead of/or in addition to these bozo's. That's kinda how I felt about ME3 already...

Well, it's possible that every character in the trilogy will be dead in the storyline of ME4. That's if ME4 is far into the future. So far, that even Liara will be dead. Unless it's some prequel, which I high doubt. A prequel is a bit of a cliché now.

If that is the decision they'll make ME4 will simply not be as good to me as it could have been...

If I had to guess, it'll take place somewhere within 10 to 30 years after ME3.

My guess would be similar - near future future, ie. Set after the Shepard trilogy, but not far after it.

I'm sure they'll have some way of getting around acknowledging a canon ME3 ending somehow.

I doubt it. There's just no right move here. Declare a canon, regardless of what it is and you invalidate the already meaningless RGB. Ignore it or attempt to smudge the details into one messy glob and again you trivialize and render irrelevant everything that came before.

The shitshow that was the ending is what it is. But at the very least the consequences implied going forward are different and vast enough to merit thought. The only thing we're left with is the consideration of whatever color we went with sprinkled with our own little details. I would hope that at least gets left alone. If they must milk this franchise to the ground (and it's EA of course they must), let them do an interquel, with a smaller scale and tighter focus on characters (Bioware's strength).

But I suspect it's already too late. Pleas like mine were falling on deaf ears two years ago.

What worries me is BioWare diciding to use one ending from ME3 as Canon for ME4. ....On the other hand, I seriously doubt this. The game is going to be huge. I hope they don't change the game it terms of "dumbing it down" during post production.

We might get a Save Transfer system similar to DA:I.

^ If that is the case, what other ending could it possibly be but Destroy? - which is the choice I always go for...

I think the "Canon" ending for BioWare itself is Synthesis.
