If you cant make it to the show tune in to BioWare TV for live Gamescom coverage . So if you are in the Cologne, Germany area come say hi!"

So, if your going to Gamescom...ask those Miranda questions!

So, which questions about Miranda do you all want me to ask? Be reasonable, I won't waste a question slot on a question I know won't be answered.

(for those who still don't know - I'll be going to GamesCom)

It would also be interesting to see how she feels about fighting Cerebus now that they have been indoctrinated. I know she can be aloof but killing former colleagues that are brain washed couldn't be easy.

It is unclear if they have been indoctrinated. That's just what first comes to mind. I don't think she'll have problems with shooting them, but it will affect her emotionally afterwards just as it would other humans.

As for the questions - we know
(a) Miranda will be in ME3 if she survived ME2.
(B) Her romance will have a final resolution.
© She will have several scenes (so a one-scene cameo is already ruled out)

I'd think they could answer:

1. Will you be able to continue your romance with her (say, as in LotSB)
2. Will she be a squadmate, at least at some point
3. Does she have a substantial role in the plot

From reading here I gather #3 is what most want to know, followed by #2. I'm showing my bias here ;)

Edit: from your point (B) it sounds like my #1 has been answered (although "final resolution" could mean a lot of things, not necessarily happy).

I suspect questions about her position in relation to Cerberus won't get anywhere.

Whatever you decide to ask, it's great that Miranda fans have someone to represent us there :wizard:

ah i see.. That makes sense:) Easier to understand all the posts. Im sooo looking forward to ME3, and thats rather unusual for me since its kinda like seven months or something until release. But it all looks so awesome, and i do look forward to hanging out with Mordin,Garrus,Wrex and Miranda again.. The only squadmates i will ever need:) Im glad to see that Miranda will return in ME3, and i do hope we get to play with her (you dirty bastards) you know i meant go on missions etc.

I certainly expect to play with her. The one way *and* the other.

I am currently trying to have as few people alive as possible in the ME universe on my renegade save, Miranda and Mordin is the prefered two to survive.. wonder how that will effect ME3... And how might that effect mirandas role if there are basicly no crewmembers alive? Will she be there all the time?

Miranda and Mordin....that's a hard combination to pull off. Do you already know how to do it or do you need help?

Two things: I'm religious and tended to play my Shepard's that way. Coming back from the dead would be a huge deal and prompt an existential crisis, Shepard barely reacts. Two: I still have no clue why Shepard is so essential to the war, he can't stay dead.Symbol? Governments have washed their hands of him. This isn't DA, where only a specific person can defeat the villain. It isn't even Star Wars. Why not train that army? I can come up with rationales--namely they had the tech and Shep made a good guinea pig--but it's nowhere presented in game.

He'd only really become a symbol when the Reapers actually arrive though and people start remembering that he 'saved' them at the Battle of the Citadel against the same sort of monstrosity. Prior to this though; to them Commander Shephard is basically just any other  officer within the Alliance.

@Ieldra2

I don't know if it's worth asking, but it would be nice to see what she looks like for ME3.
(given what they've said about improvements made to long hairstyles)

A simple head-shot would suffice, since jtav had a valid point about people looking to see if there is a Cerberus logo, or not.

Hmm. i did do a renegade save on my prev computer (that died) where i did pretty good, but i do not have a sound proof plan of how to make just those two survive.. im expecting them to be loyal and maybe have them with me at the last fight? SInce i wont let the crew live i cant send Mordin back with them for instance..

Planning on not recruting Kasumi, letting Legion stay in the AI core without ever talking to him, Grunt stays in his box.. Zaeed dies on his loyalty mission.. Everyone else becomes unloyal or not touched at all? Loosing as many as possible on the way in.. one in the shaft etc? Do you have a layed out plan? Would be awesome

Question suggestions:

1. Are Miranda and Jacob still with Cerberus? Does it depend on player choice?
2. Can you explain how the squad works this time around?
3 Will any ME2 exclusive squad members be with you for a significant amount of time?

Can do. So here it is: how only MIranda and Mordin survive into ME3:

First about Zaeed, you can't kill Zaeed on his LM before the SM, so you're either stuck with him or you must not recruit him before the SM. For this setup, don't recruit him. Also, all team members not in the "nonloyal" list below can be loyal.

(1) No ship upgrades (kills Kasumi, Jack and Thane)
(2) Don't recruit Zaeed before the SM. All other team members should be in the team, including Grunt.
(3) Nonloyal team members:
(3a) Tali - side with Legion in the conflict or give the evidence over in the trial
(3b) Jacob - don't do his LM
(3c) Grunt - don't do his LM
(4) Oculus squad: Miranda and Mordin (doesn't really matter as long as Kasumi is not on the squad)
(5) Tech specialist: Garrus (dies)
(6) Fire Team 1 leader: doesn't matter
(7) Biotic specialist: Jacob
(8) Fire Team 2 leader: Samara (dies)
(9) Escort: none
(10) The Long Walk squad: Miranda and Legion (Legion dies)
(11) Final boss squad: Miranda and Grunt (Grunt dies)
(12) Hold the line: Mordin, Tali and Jacob (Tali and Jacob die)

Ironically, this leaves Mordin as the last man standing holding the line and Miranda and Shepard as survivors of the final boss battle. And not to forget: NOW you can recruit Zaeed and kill him on his LM.

(edited the possible changes out - wrong calculation)

WoW, did not know about Zaeeds LM, thought i could kill him whenever:) So happy for this guide..

So does anyone how any thoughts about how having so few ppl will affect ME3? Will i be stuck with VS and that new guy all the game exept the few times miri and Mordin is available? + Liara, since she can`t die..

Will anything change if i just do Mordin and Miranda loyalty mission?

This Shep just does the main mission, he has no time for trivialities.. Same outcome? In that case.. Awesome

Oh, another question: How has Miranda changed between games?

I see her as losing the superficial ****iness. She lost her faith in Cerberus whatever your choice and has been shown repeatedly that her gifts are limited. She could lose quite a lot on the mission.

You know, when I think about it too much, her insecurity is a bit odd. Shepard can't take any credit for his genetics either. And Miranda still had to develop her gifts. Her dad has it coming.

The loyalty missions should matter.

Agreed.. It all depends on how long time it has been since ME2.. Also how long ME3 lasts for.. She could remain pretty much the same in the start of ME3 and change drastically during the game, if the game lasts for a couple of months etc..

We don't know how much Miranda will be available, but yes, basically you'll be stuck with the VS, Liara and the new team member(s) until Miranda becomes available (hopeful emphasis).

I don't think so. There can't be any more deaths in this setup that would lower the size of the hold-the-line group, which is the only real danger since this could make Mordin die. As a rule, when I make these plans I minimize the number of avoided LMs, since you lose out on experience, upgrades and skill points that way. There is an unconfirmed rumor that your skill points and upgrades will carry over to ME3.

Shepard's conclusion may not be correct. It is clear these Cerberus agents are hostile. But we do not know why.
