Jean-Luc's hi-res texture, I'm guessing?

this is probably a dumb question, but I play Mass Effect on 360, is it really that much better on a high end gaming pc?

Yes, and even better with graphic tweaks and high res textures mods.
(I also prefer to play with mouse + keyboard)

A new enemy was posted on the N7 Ops part of the ME3 site (but was taken down shortly after):

Cerberus Centurion: *NEW*

Cerberus Centurions are frontline tacticians that fight alongside their soldiers. These squadron leaders carry out high-level instructions laid out by the Illusive Man. How the Illusive Man recruited and trained such a large number of top-line battlefield commanders is a worrying mystery. Cerberus, once comprised of small, covert cells of agents, is now a burgeoning and unconcealed threat to the galaxy. In the face of the immediate Reaper threat, Alliance Intelligence has scuttled their attempts to infiltrate Cerberus to find out how the Illusive Man managed to quickly swell his organization’s ranks. The only useful intel gathered on the Centurions are their armaments. Each Centurion carries a modified M-96 Mattock that launches smoke grenades to blind their targets, making their enemies vulnerable to vicious crossfire they can no longer see.

The bolded part is interesting as someone mentioned it could tie in with the Lazarus Project...

Could the Illusive man have cloned his high level officers using the data from the Lazarus Project? Might this be the one thing that makes Miranda leave Cerberus (if you kept the base)?

For the mods you can find everything here :
http://social.biowar...8/index/5314761
(unfortunately I don't find the version of the Miranda's mod I use, I find Miranda's face too dark with the one available on this page)

For the graphic tweaks, I will be able to help. Send me a PM.

@Vertigo_1
Interesting, thanks :)

Hm. Makes for a good theory -- especially since Miranda's father studied the finer points of cloning. I can see a scene where you finally capture a wounded Cerberus soldier, pull off her helmet, only to find a Miranda clone looking up at you. THAT would be freaky!

Look at this : http://www.alibaba.c...oof_Shield.html

LOL. I have to say this is pretty convincing.

Recall that I said if Miranda's outfit were everywhere as thick as it is near the shoulders *and* cover the vitals it might be viable as armor. Both, unfortunately, is not the case, and the matter of drawing attention by being too suggestive still stands. What do you think of the suggestion I made (quoted by Vertigo above)?

All that, btw, is independent of the style question. I think if you made a poll (maybe I'll make one) about it, you'd find most people would say the white catsuit goes for the cheap thrill. Not as badly as those quoted by Melrache, but badly enough.

I realize this is just me and Garrus already has this covered, but I wouldn't mind if Miranda lost her physical perfection during the war via losing a limb and having it replaced with cybernetics or similar. I realize I'm alone here.

*Shudder*

I fully appreciate Miranda's physical perfection and it would incur my extreme dislike if they changed that. It wouldn't put me off Miranda, but it would be very, very annoying.

Cloned soldiers are definitely a possibility. Only I can't see why that would put Miranda off, unless some form of mind control is involved.

Well, I thought she was against the idea of cloning as it reminds her of what her father did?

mmm... an army of shepard clones. That reminds the force unleashed 2. It could works if all of the cerberus troopers are the same gender of shepard.

The only thing endorsing a crazy teory like this is that we didnt see any female of cerberus in the demos.

I'm waiting for Shepard to pull the helmet off one of these people after killing them, and see her own face. Why settle for one Shepard if you can crank out an army of them? And once you have enough, no further need for the original...

Edit: heh, ninja'd by 100K.

Well, I thought she was against the idea of cloning as it reminds her of what her father did?

As you might recall, I think that her self-esteem problems stem from the emotional abuse at the hands of her father rather than the genetic engineering as such.

But these clones would have had to be tank-bred if they're the result of recent advances. I can see Miranda being against that because it deprives them of a normal childhood.

Whether that disagreement would be enough to forsake two decades of loyalty, that is another question. Miranda is, after all, pragmatic.

Tank bred clones as an off-shoot of owner's research? (which itself was based off collector tech). I can see that, i don't see any connection with Miranda or Lazarus though.

@Yannkee:

I read your arguments. I could make a number of counterarguments based on physics, mainly that a protective outfit of any kind still needs a minimum mass to be effective. You won't get protective tights. If the fabric was as thick as the black catsuit's is at the shoulder, that would do given your speculative improved fabrics. But look at the navel. This thing has a thickness of almost zero. Then look at Miranda's ass - if the fabric were as thick as it is at the shoulders it would look very different - and btw, still quite sexy.
Apart from that, no protective outfit will ever leave the vitals exposed. Then there's the sex appeal. It draws attention to you, exactly what you do *not* want in combat. It's as if you had painted a target on her chest.

No, I don't accept your arguments. I don't because they are not convincing. I don't know why you insist on this, but I can say I prefer an honest "I prefer the fanservice" to this attempt to pass the over-the-top as credible.

Please explain to me why all the people like yourself, who don't like Mirandas default outfit, always ignore the fact that there are biotic abilities and shields in the Mass Effect universe? I think Mirandas outfit is sexy, and yes, it is fanservice, which i don't think is wrong. But surely you realise that she has powerful biotic ablities and shields, which can easily explain why her outfit has next to no physical protective ability. This is an obvious option to explain why she is dressed sexily, why do you ignore it?

I am frankly tired of defending Mirandas outift to people like you who want who want more realistic armour, or big burly androgenous "females" in games. Mass Effect is in a futuristic universe where people can levitate using biotics, but skin-tight outfits in battle are inplausable? Please. Miranda is sexy, she flaunts it, for goodness sake she even admits and draws attention to it!, deal with it, or start your own thread about how you dislike the way she's dressed.

Mainly because she's one of the few people you ever encounter that has a catsuit. Even the female mercs have armor.

She can strut her stuff all she wants on the Normandy or public settings, but in a fight, I'll take function over fashion any day.

And Liara, who could mop the floor with Miranda biotically, has armor. That catsuit had the sole purpose of titillation. And barriers do zilch against toxic environments..

ME2 liara has a glorified lab-coat. i fail to see in principle why at the very least shields could not protect against hazardous environs. material after that becomes irrelevant.
