Just...No! Futuristic sci-fi does most definitely *not* equal "anything is possible". Fictional universes are always constrained by their own lore, and violations usually result in internal consistency problems. For instance, see this Codex entry about shields:

Kinetic barriers are repulsive mass effect fields projected from tiny emitters. These shields safely deflect small objects traveling at rapid velocities. This affords protection from bullets and other dangerous projectiles, but still allows the user to sit down without knocking away their chair.
The shielding afforded by kinetic barriers does not protect against extremes of temperature, toxins, or radiation.

So, here it is: shields *explicitly* do not protect againt environmental hazards. Any rationalization that requires this is thereby proven wrong. BTW, a vacuum (also not protected from since air can pass the shields) usually includes both radiation and extremes of temperature as well the absence of air pressure which would result in (slow) decompression and cooking away of fluids through the eyes. There goes the rationale for the breathing masks.

I still think Yvonne Strahovski is about 140% hotter than Miranda though.

No question, there's barely any resemblence between the two.

I never found in-game Miranda to be all that great looking tbh. My two femsheps look better. :happy:

Unfortunately, I am unaware of any such thing. With the cleavage gone and practical shoes this would be acceptable as a combat outfit, right?

I wouldn't go that far but it would be more..... tolerable. If they did that and slapped on an armor vest of some kind then.... maybe.

That looks awesome! I play on the 360 though so no mods for me, I knew it was the bump mapping on the original though. the loyalty outfit is to smooth and shiny for my liking.

I feel a little apprehensive about what making Miranda bi will do to her romance, but since this will likely boost the number of Miranda fans I have to give that a tentative No (meaning no it's not bad).

Much more catastrophic is what this might do to my four femSheps and their ME1/2 romances. I hope we get better friendship options in ME3, or I might up end up romancing Miranda with my femSheps just because it's the only way to get a closer relationship. My femSheps as a rule aren't bi/les except for one, but they do like Miranda.

It could boost fans...yes.

But I do feel that there are also Miranda fans that will still remain fans even if not given an f/f romance (like me). So I guess I don't want you to think 'I need a Miranda f/f romance or I will hate her forever!!!'   I personally became attached to the character when romance was not a possibility.  But if I were to do a new f/f romance besides Liara it would be with Miranda.

Just because it increases the amount of fans, shouldn't be the reason to accept something or to want changes. There's other things for most people out there, that are more to their liking. in s/s romance's case I understand it, I'd like it if Miri was one. I think it would fit her character just fine.

However in general, I don't understand the need to get more people to like her by doing something about it. If they don't like her the way she is in the game, then they can sod off. This is not a presidential campaign.
